Abstract
Electro-deposition process is one of the main steps in the LIGA procedure to fabricate microstructures. In this paper, one-dimensional modeling of Nickel electro-deposition process is implemented on Rayan and developed for simulation of time-dependence diffusion and migration of charge species with reduction reactions on the cathode surface. This model is proposed by considering governing equations on electro-kinetic phenomena consist of Nernst-Plank equation and Poisson's equation of electric potential. Transport of ions toward the cathode is considered based on the effect of convection, reaction rate, diffusion and migration. The numerical results cover two series of data consisting of...

Abstract
The multi-vehicle travelling purchaser problem with priority in purchasing (MTPP-PIP) is a new variant of the classic travelling purchaser problem (TPP) in which the set of products is divided into different priority groups. The purpose of this article is to find the least cost cycles in which each product should be purchased according to its predefined priority. To fit the model with the real world further, multiple purchasers (multi-vehicle) and uncertainty in the products demands are assumed. In this paper, a mathematical programming formulation is developed based on a clustered supplier graph whereby the suppliers are categorised into different clusters according to their corresponding...
Some Innovations in Expantion of Causal Quantum Mechanics to Quantum Field Theory
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Golshani, Mehdi (Supervisor)
Abstract
The advent of Quantum Mechanics in the beginning of twentieth century created a fundamental evolution on physics. The ability and performance of Quantum Mechanics in perception of natural phenomena have spread its penetration farther than physics and affected different realms of science, and especially Philosophy. As a result, several philosophic and logical principles defined according to the Quantum Mechanics, and also several of them were rejected because of their inconsistency with Quantum Mechanics. Since Quantum Mechanics was not flawless theory, some of these evolutions have created profound deviations in interpretation and perception of nature. One of these changes was denial of...

Abstract
Nowadays, nanotechnology has emerged in many processes; hence the construction of this scale is also important. By reducing the size of equipment, raw material consumption is reduced and less space is needed for equipment. In addition it is economical. LIGA method has the potential to make parts with small dimensions and accurate tolerances, that it is impossible with other methods (chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, bulk micromachining, surface Machining). It is possible to assemble the pieces by producing micro-molding in LIGA procedure. In this thesis, numerical simulation of electrodeposition that is one of the main steps in the LIGA procedure has been investigated. One...

Abstract
Reduction of air pollutants formation from hydrocarbon combustion process requires improvements in combustion systems. The moderate and intense low oxygen dilution (MILD) combustion technique is an opportunity to achieve such a goal. MILD combustion is a combustion regime which can be attained by high temperature preheating and high level dilution. In this paper, the mechanism of CO and CO2 formation for a CH4/H2 fuel mixture is studied under MILD combustion condition of a jet in hot coflow (JHC) burner. This investigation is done using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and also zero dimensional well-stirred reactor (WSR) analysis. The RANS equations with modified k-ε equations are...

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the response of concrete-filled composite tube column under concentric and eccentric loads. To evaluate the influence of PVC pipe on the behavior of concrete-filled composite tubes, concrete-filled PVC pipe (CFPT) were modeled by ABAQUS software. The results demonstrate that the presence of the PVC pipe makes the concrete column more ductile and have a significant effect on the stress–strain curve of the CFPT after the peak strength, in a way that the confinement increased by raising the thickness of PVC pipe, but the confinement effect of the PVC pipe decreased by the increment of the column diameter and compressive strength of the concrete...

Abstract
Male infertility is mostly related to semen and spermatozoa, and any diagnosis or treatment requires the investigation of the motility patterns of spermatozoa. The movements of spermatozoa are fast and involve collision and occlusion with each other. In order to extract the motility patterns of spermatozoa, multi-target tracking (MTT) of spermatozoa is necessary. One of the most important steps of MTT is data association, in which the newly arrived observations are used to update the previous tracks. Dynamic Bayesian network (DBN) is a powerful tool for modeling and solving various types of problems such as tracking and classification. There can also be a hybrid-DBN (HDBN), in which both...

Abstract
Combination of three-dimensional (3D) IC technology and network on chip (NoC) is an effective solution to increase system scalability and also alleviate the interconnect problem in large-scale integrated circuits. However, because of the increased power density in 3D NoC systems and the destructive effect of high temperatures on chip reliability, applying thermal management solutions becomes crucial in such circuits. In this study, the authors propose a runtime distributed migration algorithm based on game theory to balance the heat dissipation among processing elements (PEs) in a 3D NoC chip multiprocessor. The objective of this algorithm is to minimise the 3D NoC system's peak temperature,...

Abstract
Microburst wind shear is a potential hazard for aviation safety, especially in some crucial phases of flight like take-off and landing. Optimal trajectories could be useful for suitable retrieval of transport aircrafts encountering microburst. These types of trajectories are investigated in this paper for landing phase in two scenarios of escape and landing utilizing the most recent realistic analytical model of the microburst. In this regard, a set of complete six degrees of freedom aircraft's equations of motion is taken in a variation formulation of this problem. This approach is particularly useful for determination of optimal escape or approach trajectories constrained with respect to...

Application of Artificial Intelligence for Encoding and Decoding in the Internet of Things Communication
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Farhadi, Alireza (Supervisor)
Abstract
One of the important issues in the field of telecommunications is the optimization of coding algorithms. Especially, in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) due to the low processing power and the limitation in the energy storage of devices, the needs for such optimized algorithms are more essential. One effective method to improve coding algorithms in the transmission of messages is obtained by paying more attention to the amount of information contained in each part of the message and transmit information accordingly. Some coding methods have addressed this issue indirectly, but they do not pay enough attention to this practical issue. Based on the simple but practical idea mentioned...

Abstract
The vibration of a simply-supported beam with rotary springs at either ends is studied. The governing equations of motion are investigated considering the nonlinear effect of stretching. These equations are made non-dimensional and solved to the first-order approximation using the two known methods, namely, the multiple scales and the mode summation. The first five natural frequencies of the beam for different pairs of the boundary condition parameters are evaluated. A multilayer feed-forward back-propagation artificial neural network is trained using these natural frequencies. The artificial neural network used in this study shows high degree of accuracy for the natural frequency of the...
