Abstract
Integrated seismic attributes, coherency, acoustic impedance (AI), lambda-rho (λρ) and mu-rho (μρ), were used to delineate and to characterize a complex regional channel deposition system in a carbonate reservoir interval in the upper part of the Sarvak Formation. The study area incorporates three adjacent oil fields in SW Iran (Khuzestan Province) covered by three individual 3D seismic surveys having a total area of about 2800 km 2. We generated a regional horizon-based coherency cube using these three seismic surveys. This revealed a carbonate clastic deposition channelling system over the entire study area. Abstract
Tortuosity and cementation factor are two critical parameters that significantly affect estimates of reservoir properties. Tortuosity factor can be used to estimate permeability using the Carman-Kozeny equation and is an important parameter for formation resistivity factor calculation using a modified version of Archie's formula. It is also used to predict water saturation of reservoir rocks. Tortuosity as an input parameter in Biot's equation can be used to estimate velocity dispersion. Abstract
A special type of shell structure - a concrete shallow funicular shell of circular plan - is considered in this paper. Funicular shells carry their dead weight only by in-plane compression forces. Numerical analysis of funicular shells was performed using the non-linear finite-element method, considering both geometric and material non-linearities. A circular-plan concrete funicular shell unit was also constructed and its ultimate central concentrated load is determined. This paper considers a realistic multi-service system design problem in which each service type is a stochastic sequence of services provided by different units of facilities where each facility is modeled as a set of open Jackson queueing networks. Chaotic Flow in transportation networks has been the subject of several studies. Evolutionary models have been employed to simulate traffic flows. This study takes advantage of an existing evolutionary model of traffic assignment to show that chaotic phenomena arise when the model’s driving force is speed or density, of traffic flow. In this thesis, we propose a new compressed-sensing-based algorithm for unmixing of hyperspectral data, and show that the reconstruction quality could be significantly improved. In addition, we illustrate that by utilizing this approach, we can achieve an approximate estimation of the Point Spread Function (PSF) of the hyperspectral images. In this way, we first assume that the PSF belongs to a specific family of functions, such as Gaussian, then, by sweeping the parameters of the assumed PSF, we obtain the abundance coefficient matrix of the reconstructed image. Na3MnCO3PO4 (NMCP) is considered one of the promising cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries due to its high theoretical capacity. The hydrothermal method is an efficient, environmental-friendly, and simple route with low instrument cost to prepare active cathode materials such as NMCP. In this research, magnetic stirring was applied to promote the hydrothermal synthesis, and NMCP was produced by controlling different stirring times. In this paper, a method for overtaking stationary and moving obstacles will be introduced. The method consists of designing a desired trajectory for lateral motion of the vehicle and then using a lateral motion controller for tracking this desired trajectory.
