    The Effect of Disruptive Innovations on the Sectoral System of Innovation: A Case Study of VODs in Iran

    Video-on-demand platforms are a type of disruptive innovation that has transformed the audiovisual industry by providing users with access to digital video content via the Internet. VOD platforms were introduced in Iran in the Iran, with a focus on analyzing changes in the industry's sectoral innovation system. Data was collected through unstructured interviews with 14 experts in the audiovisual industry, as well as by reviewing relevant documents, news articles, and public data.     Effect of Environmental Conditions on Fracture Behavior of Solder Joints

    Abstract
    Double cantilever beam (DCB) specimens were prepared according to standard surface mount technology (SMT). The samples were stored inside an environmental chamber at two different relative humidity values (i.e. 40 or 100%) for either 2 or 4 hours. Then they were aged at 25ºC, 75ºC or 125℃ for the same time. Finally, after being cooled to room temperature, fracture tests were performed under mode-I loading conditions at a strain rate of 0.03 s-1 at room temperature. Storage time did not have a significant effect on the fracture behavior. The fracture load and energy of the solder joints decreased significantly when the temperature was increased from 25 to 75℃.     Abstract
    One of the beneficial impacts of Distributed generation (DG) units on electrical network is power loss reduction in the distribution feeder on which DG is located. In this paper the effect of DG on power losses of a distribution feeder with a combination of uniformly distributed and lumped loads is investigated, and a mathematical model of power loss reduction as a function of DG and the feeder parameters is extracted. Then, based on the derived formula, optimum conditions of utilizing and locating the DG units are obtained. © 2006 IEEE

    Ni-doped TiO2 Photoanode Electrodes for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells Applications

    Abstract
    A new strategy for enhancing the efficiency of TiO2 dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) doped with Ni ions with different molar percentages (i.e., 0, 0.5, 1, 5 and 10 mol%) was reported. The samples were prepared by sol-gel route and characterized by means of XRD, DRS, UV-visible, FESEM and photovoltaic measurment techniques. It was found that Ni-doped TiO2 nanoparticles had a mixture of anatase, rutile and brookite crystal structures. Moreover, the band gap energy was decreased with increasing Ni molar ratio, The highest cell efficiency of 5.4% was achieved for 1mol% Ni-doped TiO2, being 42% greater than that of pure TiO2 nanoparticles

    Abstract
    Fracture tests on Sn93Pb37 solder joints in a double cantilever beam (DCB) configuration were performed at two different strain rates of 10−5 and 0.03 s−1 under mode I loading conditions. In each case, the critical strain energy release rate for crack initiation, Jci, was obtained. Effects of storing specimens at a constant temperature of 75 °C and cyclic temperature varying between 32 and 75 °C were examined at these strain rates. In the strain rate of 0.03 s−1, storing samples in a constant or cyclic temperature caused the fracture energy to decrease significantly with respect to the specimens maintained in ambient temperature.     Single lap-shear (SLS) specimens of 63Sn37Pb solder joints were prepared with three different adherend thicknesses at three varying joint lengths. The fracture force was measured at a shear strain rate of 0.01 s-1 for different geometries. The elastic-plastic fracture mechanics (EPFM) theory was used to find the energy dissipated in each case using a finite element model (FEM), and the fracture energy was obtained by cohesive zone modeling (CZM).     Drying of green peas in a Fluidized Bed Dryer (FBD) with inert particle, heated by combined sources of hot air and InfraRed (IR) radiation, has been experimentally and theoretically studied.
