    Abstract
    In this paper, by applying a new permutation to the full-diversity block circular delay diversity (BCDD) space-frequency codes (SFCs), we show that their performance could be enhanced. Furthermore, we propose a new method for performing the permutation in the absence of partial channel state information at the transmitter. This new permutation, which is done based on artificial delay and power profiles (ADPPs), could improve the performance of the BCDD SFCs more than 3 dB as simulation results demonstrate

    Oxygen reduction on a polycrystalline silver electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The reaction occurred by a two-electron pathway. The steps in the mechanism were observed in the cyclic voltammograms recorded with different scan rates.     Phytoremediation has been applied for treating an extensive range of environmental contaminants such as anti-diabetic drug metformin which is increasingly found as environmental contaminant. These contaminants are released to the environment via human and veterinary medicine and pharmaceutical industries. In this study, native plant capabilities for uptake of metformin from wastewater were investigated. Moreover, uptake rate of metformin was studied in two different concentrations of 20 and 50 mg l−1 metformin solution by Amaranthus retroflexus, Ricinus communis, Brassica napus, Celosia cristata, Helianthus annuus and Phragmites australis.     In this paper, an efficient dynamic simulation algorithm is developed for an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) with a N degrees of freedom manipulator. In addition to the effects of mobile base, the various hydrodynamic forces exerted on these systems in an underwater environment are also incorporated into the simulation. The effects modeled in this work are added mass, viscous drag, fluid acceleration, and buoyancy forces.     The fast and very fast transient overvoltages can endanger the insulation of transformer windings. Therefore, it is necessary to develop models, to study these transients. This paper compares the two well-known multiconductor transmission line (MTL) and lumped parameter detailed (RLC ladder network) models. The high-voltage (HV) winding of a 220/35-kV, 50-MVA transformer has been modeled using these models. The simulation results of the MTL and the RLC ladder network models have been compared with the measurements results in the frequency domain, by application of the Pearson's correlation coefficients.     A series of consolidated undrained triaxial tests were performed in order to understand the behavior of a gravely sand. The material was selected from Tehran alluvium and is classified as gravely sand in the Unified Soil Classification System. Critical state concepts were used for interpretation of the behavior of the soil. The critical state line in q - p′ space was reasonably unique. However, it was not possible to define a unique critical state line in e -ln p′ space.     Abstract
    A luminescent coating of CaAlSiN3:Eu2+ particles applied on photoanode (TiO2) layer of SQ1 sensitized solar cell by doctor blading the paste of phosphor particles. The luminescent layer acted as a dual functional layer and enhanced the short circuit current density (JSC) by 64% via both scattering effect and downshifting of the photons in 400-600nm spectral range to photons in 600-800nm spectral range. Considerable relative enhancement in incident photon to current conversion efficiency (IPCE) up to 350% in 400-600nm spectral range proves the down shifting effect as the dominant factor for the improved performance of dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC). © 2016 Elsevier B.V

    In this study, the fatigue behavior of composite reinforced cracked aluminum 1050 plates is investigated experimentally and numerically. The tests are conducted in four different stress ratios between 0 and 1. At first step, plates with similar cracks and geometries have been prepared. Then the glass/epoxy patches have been attached to the cracked plates using Araldite 2015 adhesive.     The behavior of a cemented gravely sand was studied using triaxial compression tests. Gypsum, Portland cement and lime were used as the cementing agents in sample preparation. The samples with different cement types were compared in equal cement contents. Three cement contents of 1.5%, 3.0% and 4.5% were selected for sample preparation. Drained and undrained triaxial compression tests were conducted in a range of confining pressures from 25 kPa to 500 kPa.     For a dye-sensitized solar cell with a near-infrared squaraine (SQ1) sensitizer, the photovoltaic performance was enhanced remarkably with a reflective luminescent down-shifting (R-LDS) layer to increase the light-harvesting efficiency at the wavelength region 400-550 nm where the SQ1 dye has weak absorption.
