For this aim, the effect of several parameters on size and size distribution has been studied. These parameters include water/surfactant ratio, precursor’s concentration and amount of polymer employed to improve nanoparticles colloidal stability. XRD, FE-SEM and TEM results reveal that the synthesized nanoparticles had small size (about 10 nm iron oxide core and 20 nm overall diameter) and possessed narrow size distribution (15-21...
A misbehavior‐tolerant multipath routing protocol for wireless Ad hoc networks [electronic resource]
, Article International Journal of Research in Wireless Systems (IJRWS) ; Vol. 2, Issue 9, pp. , Sep. 2013 ; Pakravan, Mohammad Reza ; Aref, Mohammad Reza ; Sharif University of Technology
Abstract
Secure routing is a major key to service maintenance in ad hoc networks. Ad hoc nature exposes the network to several types of node misbehavior or attacks. As a result of the resource limitations in such networks nodes may have a tendency to behave selfishly. Selfish behavior can have drastic impacts on network performance. We have proposed a Misbehavior-Tolerant Multipath Routing protocol (MTMR) which detects and punishes all types of misbehavior such as selfish behavior, wormhole, sinkhole and grey-hole attacks. The protocol utilizes a proactive approach to enforce cooperation. In addition, it uses a novel data redirection method to mitigate the impact of node misbehavior on network...

Analaysis of Ultrasonic Vibration Assisted Turing of Engineering Ceramics
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Movahhedi, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor) ; Akbari, Javad (Supervisor)
Abstract
Due to high strength, hardness and high resistance to abrasion, ceramics are difficult for machining. Also as the conductivity coefficient of these materials is low, major amount of produced heat during machining process will be absorbed in the cutting tool which causes intensive wear in cutting tool edge. As a result employing traditional machining for these materials because of low machining speed, tool wear, high roughness and large cutting force, has little efficiency in practice. Therefore non-traditional machining method may improve efficacy. In this thesis effect of utilizing ultrasonic vibration in machining process of fused cast silica ceramic has been studied. Aim of this study at...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Hosseini, Abolfazl (Supervisor) ; Ay, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Sparse-view computed tomography (CT) is recently proposed as a promising method to speed up data acquisition and alleviate the issue of CT high-dose delivery to patients. However, traditional reconstruction algorithms are time-consuming and suffer from image degradation when faced with sparse-view data. To address this problem, we propose two new frameworks based on deep learning (DL) that can quickly produce high-quality CT images from sparsely sampled projections and is able for clinical use. Our first DL-based proposed model is based on the convolution, and residual neural networks in a parallel manner, named the parallel residual neural network (PARS-Net). Besides, our proposed PARS-Net...
