    One of the most important problems in using wind energy is the estimation of wind energy potential of a region with acceptable accuracy. To use wind energy and convert it to electrical energy it is necessary to study the economical aspects of wind farm installation, and to choose an appropriate wind turbine to be installed in a region.     In this paper, the effects of different environmental parameters on power probability density function (PDF) curve and annual energy production of a wind turbine are studied.     The smoothed particle hydrodynamics method is used to explore the effects of design parameters on the mixing efficiency of two types of active micromixer. First, the complex flow field and the mixing process of two separated fluids in a square mixing chamber with nine symmetric microstirrers are simulated.     The optimum design of a high capacity double inlet pulse tube refrigerator based on second law of thermodynamics has been presented in this paper. Second law is applied to calculate the work loss in the regenerator and to optimize the cryocooler performance.     Electrochemical deposition of aluminum from basic and acidic molten NaCl-KCl-AlCl3 mixture on a graphite electrode at 140 °C was studied by voltammetry, chronopotentiometry and constant current deposition. The deposition of aluminum was found to proceed via a nucleation/growth mechanism in basic melt, while it was found to be diffusion controlled in acidic melt.     Electro-oxidation of alcohols (methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol and 2-propanol) on nickel dispersed into a thick layer of poly-o-aminophenol on graphite electrode (GE/POAP-SDS/Ni) was investigated. Ni-doping into the polymeric film was achieved chemically followed by enrichment of Ni(III) through cycling the potential. The electro-oxidation of alcohols on GE/POAP-SDS/Ni were found to be dominated by direct electro-oxidation with some contribution from Ni(II)/Ni(III) couple.     The objective of the present work is to compare the performance of the regenerator of pulse tube refrigerators at low and high frequencies. The hydrodynamic and thermal behavior of the regenerator is investigated in this respect. To consider the system performance, a system of conservation equations including two energy equations for the regenerator as a porous media is employed.
