    Converting gray-scale images to colorful ones is one of the challenging tasks in the Computer Vision area, and various approaches based on neural network architectures have been proposed to generate colorful images. However, most of the suggested colorization frameworks use a single model for colorization regardless of the diversity of colors in images of various datasets. We claim that since such a structure is responsible for generating all types of images, it results in producing either faint-colored images or some artifacts in the images.     In this project, a novel action recognition method, named Fisherposes, is proposed, which is improved by several space-time (spatio-temporal) methods afterwards. The proposed method utilizes skeleton data obtained from Kinect sensor.     A robust target recognition method proposed based on recurrence plot and recurrence quantification analysis (RQA) to generate robust features against noise, target velocity and aspect angle from micro-Doppler (m-D) signatures. The proposed method is tested on simulated data of three different targets using multiclass support vector machine (MSVM) and classification rate of about 95 % is achieved. Adjustable drug release and biocompatibility are among the most momentous features since they can significantly prevent the implantation failure.     In this thesis we study the exponential stabilization of the one dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes system, in a bounded interval locally around a constant steady state by a localized distributed control acting only in the velocity equation.     Introduction: This report describes the synthesis of 2-Amino-2-deoxy(S- benzoylthioacetyl)-D-glucose (S-Bz-TA-DG), radiolabeled with [ 99mTc(CO)3(OH2)3]+ complex with a procedure including deprotection of the benzoyl group, characterization by HPLC using a C18 reverse phase column and preliminary biodistribution study in normal mice. Methods: [99mTc(CO) 3(H2O)3]+ complex was used to label TA-DG with 99mTc. This complex was prepared using up to 46 mCi of Na99mTcO4 in 1mL saline. The radiochemical purity (>95%) was determined by TLC in normal saline solution as the mobile phase.     Abstract
    Biodegradable polymer/bioceramic nanocomposites are osteoconductive and can accelerate healing of bone tissue. In this research, silk fibroin (SF)/titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanocomposites were synthesized using different concentrations of TiO2 nanoparticles (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt%). The SF/TiO2 nanocomposites were studied in terms of bioactivity and biocompatibility.     Nanoscaled quantum dots (QDs), with unique optical properties have been used for the development of theranostics. Here, InP/ZnS QDs were synthesised and functionalised with folate (QD-FA), D-glucosamine (QD-GA) or both (QD-FA-GA). The bi-functionalised QDs were further conjugated with doxorubicin (QD-FA-GA-DOX). Optimum Indium to fatty acid (In:MA) ratio was 1:3.5. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) micrographs revealed spherical morphology for the QDs (11 nm).
