    Abstract
Simulation of large-scale nonlinear dynamical systems on hardware with a high resemblance to their mathematical equivalents has been always a challenge in engineering. This paper presents a novel current-input current-output circuit supporting a systematic synthesis procedure of log-domain circuits capable of computing bilateral dynamical systems with considerably low power consumption and acceptable precision. Here, the application of the method is demonstrated by synthesizing four different case studies: 1) a relatively complex 2-D nonlinear neuron model; 2) a chaotic 3-D nonlinear dynamical system Lorenz attractor having arbitrary solutions for certain parameters; 3) a 2-D nonlinear Hopf...

    Abstract
This study addresses a many-to-many hub location-routing problem where the best-found locations of hubs and the best-found tours for each hub are determined with simultaneous pickup and delivery within the hard time window. To find practical solutions, the hubs and transportation fleet have constrained capacity, in which every node can be serviced by multiple allocations with the hard time window and limited tour length. First, a bi-objective optimization model is proposed to balance travel costs among different routes and to minimize the total sum of fixed costs of locating hubs, the costs of handling, traveling, assigning, and transportation costs. The problem is then solved using an...

    Abstract
The present paper demonstrates the capability of narrow graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) in constructing new sensing platforms. Graphene nanoribbons have been synthesized via a simple solvothermal route through unzipping of carbon nanotubes, which was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy analysis. These narrow carbon sheets were used to form a composite film by in-situ electro-polymerization with aniline. The produced graphene nanoribbon/polyaniline (GNR/PANI) composite film showed impressive performance in electrochemical determination of dobutamine (DBT). Under optimal conditions, in comparison to...

    Abstract
Three-dimensional reduced graphene oxide (3D-rGO) structures decorated with CuO particles (GCu) are synthesized through a simple and scalable method for detection of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas. For characterization and investigation of porous structure various techniques were employed. Decorated 3D structures demonstrated higher sensitivity and selectivity in comparison to pure structure. Optimized structure for sensing was obtained through introducing different amounts of CuO. The GCu heterostructures containing 35 μmol of CuO powder demonstrated reproducible response of about 30% to the concentration of 10 ppm at room temperature, while complete recovery was obtained through heating to 150...

An efficient two-step approach for improvement of graphene aerogel characteristics in preparation of supercapacitor electrodes

    , Article Journal of Energy Storage ; Volume 17 , 2018 , Pages 465-473 ; 2352152X (ISSN) Jokar, E ; Shahrokhian, S ; zad, A. I ; Asadian, E ; Hosseini, H ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
We fabricated a high rate capability supercapacitor based on fluorine-doped graphene-carbon nanotubes aerogel network (G-CNT-F). Based on the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data, the fluorination decreases the charge transfer resistance of graphene sheets, while CNTs act as spacer in the 3D structure. Therefore, both treatments improved the electrochemical properties of the resulted aerogel. Based on the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and XPS results, these excellent performances are attributed to semi-ionic bonds between fluorine and carbon. The specific capacitance of the graphene aerogel showed 78% decrease, when discharge current increases from 2 to 40 mA, while the...

    Abstract
With the development of communication infrastructure, the design of supply chains has changed significantly. Blockchain technology, as one of the most cutting-edge technologies, can promote transparency among members of the supply chain network. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that tries to develop a novel bi-objective optimization model to integrate the transparency resulting from the use of blockchain for designing a three-level supply chain network. The first objective function is to minimize total cost while the second objective function seeks to maximize transparency based on the application of blockchain technology. Moreover, it is worth noting that it is the...

    Abstract
The electrochemical oxidation behavior of the anti-inflammatory drug piroxicam was investigated. A carbon nanoparticle (CNP)-chitosan (CS) film-coated graphite electrode (PGE) was fabricated and the electrochemical behaviors of piroxicam on its surface was investigated by the means of cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). In comparison to the bare PGE, at the surface of the CNP-CS film modified electrode, the oxidation peak current of piroxicam increased significantly and the peak potential shifted negatively. Consequently, a simple and sensitive electroanalytical method was developed for the determination of piroxicam. The...

    Abstract
Here we are concerned with the best approximation by polynomials to rational functions in the uniform norm. We give some new theorems about the best approximation of 1/(1+x) and 1/(x-a) where a>1. Finally we extend this problem to that of computing the best approximation of the Chebyshev expansion in uniform norm and give some results and conjectures about this. © 2005 IMACS. Abstract
In recent years consumers and legislation have been pushing companies to design their activities in such a way as to reduce negative environmental impacts more and more. It is therefore important to examine the optimization of total supply chain costs and environmental impacts together. However, because of the recycling of deteriorated items, the environmental impacts of deteriorating items are more significant than those of non-deteriorating ones. The objective of this paper is to develop a stochastic mathematical model and to propose a new replenishment policy in a centralized supply chain for deteriorating items. In this model, we consider inventory and transportation costs, as well as...

    Abstract
In this paper we present experimental results describing electrical readout of the mechanical vibratory response of graphene-doped fibers by employing electrical actuation. For a fiber resonator with an approximate radius of 850 nm and length of 100 m, we observed a resonance frequency around 580 kHz with a quality factor (Q) of about 2511 in air at ambient conditions. Through the use of finite element simulations, we show that the reported frequency of resonance is relevant. We also show that the resonance frequency of the fiber resonators decreases as the bias potential is increased due to the electrostatic spring-softening effect

    Abstract
Direct pyrolysis of citric acid (CA) has been proved to be a facile bottom-up technique for making pristine carbon dots (CD) with homogenous size distribution. However, limited reports are available on systematic optimization of carbonization degree. In this investigation, pyrolysis temperatures between 160 °C and 220 °C were studied, based on CA thermal decomposition path, using various heating durations. The effect of the formation of more carbonized carbon particles (MCCPs), as the major byproduct of this method, on photoluminescence properties of CDs was also considered. The NaOH amount that neutralizes the solution and the effect of dilution on the emission intensity, were introduced as...
