, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Khachatourian, Adrineh Malek (Supervisor)
Abstract
Capacitive deionization (CDI) is a suitable method for water desalination with low energy consumption and high efficiency, which does not have secondary pollution and is environmentally friendly. The hybrid capacitive deionization uses a faradaic electrode next to the carbonaceous electrode, taking advantage of both electrodes, and high capacities have also been reported. Titanium carbide Mxene is an important candidate in CDI due to its high electrical conductivity and tunable interlayer distance, but Mxene suffers from low oxidation resistance. Therefore, in this research, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) that is an essential member of the 2D transition metal dichalcogenides family, was used as...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Nemati, Ali (Supervisor) ; Malek Khachatourian, Adrineh (Supervisor)
Abstract
This study investigates the effect of adding hydroxyapatite nanoparticles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes in pure and modified form on the flexural properties and hardness of denture base Polymethyl Methacrylate. Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) is still the most common denture base material. In fact, the mechanical properties of this resin have played a significant role in expanding its use in dentistry. But in the long-term use of resins, defects such as low resistance to crack growth, low flexural strength and brittleness can be seen. In fact, flexural fatigue occurs as a result of repeated flexural stresses, and it can be described as the main reason for crack growth and propagation in...

Abstract
In the present study, a bioactive silicate-phosphate glass-ceramic scaffold was fabricated via the polymer-derived ceramics (PDC) method. K2HPO4 phosphate salt was used as the P2O5 precursor in this method. The effect of K2HPO4 wt% and heat treatment temperatures (900–1100 °C) was evaluated. It was observed that although increasing the wt% of K2HPO4 led to the formation of scaffolds with higher densities and strengths, it could also increase the formation of the calcium phase, which could result in improper release behavior of scaffolds. On the other hand, higher heat treatment temperatures enhanced the strength of the scaffolds but eliminated the bioactive octacalcium phosphate (OCP) phase....

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Mahmoodian, Abadollah (Supervisor)
Abstract
a graph into specific subgraphs. Specially, decomposing the edges of a complete graph into cycles with determined length draws the main attention. Most of the former works in this area were studied the Alspach conjecture. In another words, Alspach conjecture states that ” Is the obvious necessary conditions for decomposing a graph into cycles (equality of the edges count with sum of cycle lengths) with specified length but not necessarily identical are also sufficient.” Different cases of Alspach conjecture have been studied and proved completely. The decomposition of a complete graph into cycles with the same length k is called k-cycle system. Steiner triple system is a 3-cycle system....
