    The Investigation of Additive Elements Ti, Cr on Structure and Some Mechanical Properties of Micro and Nano Composites of Iron Aluminide/Alumina

    Abstract
    In this experiment, first the Fe and Al powders with atomic ratio of 25 and 75 were mixed by mechanical alloying process. After obtaining the optimum conditions of milling, nano structural Fe3Al powder was synthesized by 40 hours alloying with a Ball to Powder Ratio (BPR) of 20:1. The synthesized powder was then milled with different weight ratios of titanium and Cr for 30 hours. Morphological changes, size of powder particles, lattice strain, grain size and phase transitions were studied for different powders in different time spans during milling process by means of scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and grain size analyzer.     Solutions od Reaction-Diffusion Predator-Prey Systems

    Abstract
    The dynamics of a reaction–diffusion predator–prey system with strong Allee effect in the prey population is considered. Nonexistence of non constant positive steady state solutions are shown to identify the ranges of parameters of spatial pattern formation. Bifurcations of spatially homogeneous and non homogeneous periodic solutions as well as non constant steady state solutions are studied.
    These results show that the impact of the Allee effect essentially increases the system spatiotemporal complexity

    Abstract
    One of the requirements for the operation and planning activities of an electrical utility is the prediction of load for the next hour to several days out, known as short term load forecasting (STLF). This paper presents the STLF of the Iranian national power system (INPS) using artificial neural networks (ANN) and fuzzy expert systems (FES). The ANN is trained with the load patterns corresponding to the forecasting hours and the forecasted load is obtained. The FES modifies the initial forecasted load for the special holidays and also in the case sudden changes in temperature.     Abstract
    In order to produce a thick near equi-atomic NiTi intermetallic layer on the surface of titanium plate, layers of nickel with thicknesses of 30 μm and 60 μm were electroplated on commercial pure (Cp) titanium and subsequently were heat treated at 850°C and 900°C. The effects of heat treating temperature and the thickness of electroplated nickel on the evolution of the microstructure and mechanical properties were studied. The results confirm the formation of various intermetallic layers in the coatings that substantially affect their hardness.     Background: A small amount of methanol is produced endogenously in the human body but it is efficiently metabolized by alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and other enzymes, and the products eliminated without harm. In this study, we present a new entity of inborn error of methanol metabolism due to a mutation in the ADH1C gene coding for the γ subunit that is part of several ADH isoenzymes.     Laminar forced convection flow through a channel partially filled with a porous material was numerically studied in this thesis. The Navier-Stokes and Brinkman-Forchheimer equations were used to model the fluid flow in the free and porous regions, respectively. Coupling of the pressure and velocity fields was resolved using the SIMPLEC algorithm. The local thermal equilibrium was adopted in the energy equation.
