Synthesis and Characterization of ATPEG-PMDA Hydrogels Conjugated with Thermo-Responsive Coated Magnetic Nanoparticles for Cartilage Tissue Engineering
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Simchi, Abdoreza (Supervisor)
Abstract
A novel thermo responsive decorated system is designed by coating Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with conjugated Pluronic-ATPEG copolymer incorporated into the PEG-PMDA Hydrogel for drug delivery to the cartilage tissue. Grafted copolymer was synthesized by reaction between carboxylated Pluronic and amino terminated Poly ethylene glycol (ATPEG) and confirmed by FTIR and NMR analysis. The magnetic nanoparticles were modified with the produced copolymer and characterized by TEM, HRTEM, XRD, DLS, and VSM. A typical product has 13 nm magnetic core and 105 nm hydrodynamic diameter with narrow size distribution. DLS results showed that there was an increase in size by increasing temperature from 25℃...

Abstract
Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the neurotoxic effects of Fe3O4 magnetic- CurNPs on isolated schizophrenia mitochondria of rats as an in vivo model. Methods: We designed CMN loaded superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) (Fe3O4 magnetic- CurNPs) to achieve an enhanced therapeutic effect. The physicochemical properties of Fe3O4 magnetic- CurNPs were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), and dynamic laser light scattering (DLS) and zeta potential. Further, to prove Fe3O4 magnetic- CurNPs results in superior therapeutic effects, and also, the mitochondrial membrane potential collapse, mitochondrial complex II activity, reactive oxygen species generation,...

Abstract
Previous studies indicate that increasing cement compressive strength can’t prevent loss of zonal isolation and casing collapse in worse case during well operations or formation loading. Since standard cements with high compressive strength can’t solve these problems, so application of elastic cements with low Young’s modulus and high Poisson’s ratio becomes important. These cements sustain generated stresses during well operations and prevent creation of point loads when formation creep occurs. For this purpose, a new additive was designed in order to improve the cement elasticity and tensile strength. It is a nanoparticle and named EX-RIPI (by Research Institute of Petroleum Industry,...
