Abstract
The most important concerns of companies who are active in upstream section of oil and gas industry is to find the ways to get to safe side in the world wide competitive market. With determination of Success factors in each industry those ways become clear for the companies .The objective of the study is to explore key success factors in upstream section of Iran oil and gas industry and also to compare the result with similar international research. It also investigates how enterprises define and measure success as well as how they determine their strategies.
