One of the essential pieces of equipment in the power system is the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) or synchronous generator excitation. The system's goal is to maintain the terminal voltage of the synchronous generator at the desired level. AVR is inherently uncertain. Hence, the proposed controller should be able to handle the problem. In this paper, Fractional Order Fuzzy PID (FOFPID) controller has been employed to control the system. Recently it was shown that the differential form of Eringen’s nonlocal elastic theory is unable to model, predict and track the mechanical behaviors of many nano-structures due to their boundary conditions. Therefore, having an accurate model for formulating such structures became an important issue. This paper proposes a novel FPGA-based matrix-inversion technique that is specifically tailored and optimized for real-time electromagnetic transients simulation of power electronic converters with high switching frequency. Abstract
Hydrothermal method was applied to create a protective coating on the Mg–4Zn–0.3Sr alloy, using de-ionized water (as precursor) for different synthesizing times of 3, 4, 5, and 6 h. XRD and EDS line-scan confirmed formation of Mg(OH)2 coating. Based on the surface morphological appearance, 5 h coating time at 160 °C was found to be the optimum condition. The corrosion current of 2.58 µA/cm2 in the uncoated sample decreased to 0.48 µA/cm2 in the coated condition. Also, the cytotoxicity assessments using Alamar blue test showed that the cell viability and cell attachment to the formed Mg(OH)2 coating are more pronounced in comparison with the uncoated alloy. © 2022 Elsevier B.V

In this paper, we study theoretically the generation of high repetition rate short pulses using fiber optical parametric amplification. We show that the pulse shape and duration depend on the signal location relatively to the pump frequency. We demonstrate that in order to get the shortest pulse width, the signal must be located at one of the extremities of the gain spectrum associated with the pump peak power. Abstract
This paper reports a polarization controllable and angle-insensitive perfect metamaterial absorber (PMA). The proposed PMA consists of periodically arranged asymmetric omega-shaped resonators made of metallic copper. The absorptivity was analyzed considering the microwave C-band from 4 GHz to 8 GHz.
