    Design, Fabrication and Model-based Control of Brachiation Robot

    Abstract
    In the beginning of the 90’s a new type of robot was introduced by Fukuda. The brachiation is a type of mobile robot that moves from branch to branch like a long-armed ape. Here, as a new innovation, optimal control is used to obtain the optimal trajectories for two different problems. The first problem is “Brachiation between fixed branches with different distance and height” and the second is “Brachiating and catching the moving target branch”. Theoretical results show that the control effort in the proposed method is reduced by 25% in comparison with the “Target Dynamics” method which was proposed in prior articles for this robot.     In recent years, various nanocars have been synthesized to provide controlled mechanical function, transport other nanoparticles, or enable bottom-up assembly capability. In this research, using molecular dynamics and quantum mechanics, the motion of nanoworm on the gold substrate was investigated. The incorporation of the azobenzene chromophore at the middle of the chassis allows for the potential motion of nanoworm by light as a source of external stimuli. The creators claimed that nanoworm could achieve controlled wormlike movement on gold substrate, which should be validated as the purpose of this research.     Abstract
    The Next Bit Test briefly states that a sequence is random if and only if, given any i bits of the sequence, it is not possible to predict the next bit of the sequence with a probability of success significantly greater than 1/2. In 1996, Sadeghiyan and Mohajeri proposed a so-called "new universal test for bit strings", based on the theoretical next bit test. In this paper, we study different aspects of this test and show its weakness. Then, we improve it both theoretically and practically for better classification of the sequences.     Monomer grafting, a unique technique for polysaccharide modification, is always performed under inert (e.g., N2) atmosphere. This work is the first report related to evaluating the possibility and efficiency of the grafting of acrylonitrile (AN) onto starch in presence of oxygen. Thus, corn starch (in both granular and gelatinized states) as well as soluble starch were grafted by AN using a ceric-carbohydrate redox initiating system.     Acrylonitrile (AN) was grafted onto various natural and modified polysaccharides (i.e., gum arabic, gum tragacanth, xanthan gum, sodium alginate, chitosan, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose) by using ceric-carbohydrate redox initiating system. After overcoming practical problems, mainly from the high viscosity of the aqueous solutions of the different substrates, the graft copolymerization reactions were run either in air or in N2 atmosphere under similar conditions.     In this paper concurrent design of Schottky diode based limiter and low noise amplifier (LNA), based on noise matching, is investigated to achieve minimum noise figure (NF) of the receiver chain. In design procedure of the LNA, the noise figure is minimum, gain at central frequency is 14.5 dB, and limiter structure tolerates up to 5 W continuous wave input power. In the proposed concurrent design, a pass-band filter is applied at the LNA output to attenuate undesired out-of-band signals.     The main goal of current investigation was partial reduction of Fe2O3 available in Hematite-rich ore to Magnetite by Fludization Bed method. The reductive gas, CO, was produced by incomplete combustion of Acetylene and Airmixed in inappropriate ratio.
