    Experimental study of parameters affecting the nusselt number of generator rotor and stator

    Abstract
    In this research, the parameters affecting the Nusselt number of a generator rotor and stator under varying heat transfer rate are experimentally studied. In spite of the stator having no grooves, the rotor has four large triangular grooves. The temperature and then heat transfer rate of the rotor and stator are experimentally measured in three longitudinal and two angular positions. First, the effect of axial Reynolds number and rotor rotational speed on the rotor and stator Nusselt number with constant heat transfer rate ratio is studied.     Abstract
    We have studied the ground-state phase diagram of a two-leg spin ladder with anisotropic ferromagnetic leg couplings under the influence of a symmetry-breaking transverse magnetic field by the exact diagonalization technique. In the case of antiferromagnetic coupling between legs we identified two phase transitions in the plane of magnetic field versus interchain coupling strength. The first corresponds to the transition from the gapped rung-singlet phase to the gapped stripe-ferromagnetic phase. The second represents the transition from the gapped stripe-ferromagnetic phase into the fully polarized ferromagnetic phase. © IOP Publishing Ltd

    In this paper, we consider a relay-assisted uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system where two radio frequency (RF) users are grouped for simultaneous transmission, over each resource block, to an intermediate relay which forwards the amplified version of the users' aggregated signals in the presence of multiuser interference to a relatively far destination.     For speeding up the complex fractured reservoir simulating, we have given more attention to reducing runtime and improving efficiency of the solver. In this work, we describe an improved and computationally efficient version of Newton's method, which reduces the non-linear iteration count, increases time steps, and furthermore reduces time spent in nonlinear loops of reservoir simulating.     Motorized intramedullary nails are a viable solution to treat patients with limb-length inequality. These fully implanted devices use external magnetic actuation to extend.     This work proposes a novel configuration for steam methane reformers (SMR) in order to improve their syngas stoichiometric ratio (SR). This is a decisive element for methanol producers to increase their production tonnage. While the optimum theoretical SR value is around 2, many conventional SMRs operate far beyond this value due to thermodynamic equilibrium limitations. In the new SMR design CO2, which could be an industrial off gas, is injected into the reactor in multiple stages.     Abstract
    Cometary activity is a manifestation of sublimation-driven processes at the surface of nuclei. However, cometary outbursts may arise from other processes that are not necessarily driven by volatiles. In order to fully understand nuclear surfaces and their evolution, we must identify the causes of cometary outbursts. In that context, we present a study of mini-outbursts of comet 46P/Wirtanen. Six events are found in our long-term lightcurve of the comet around its perihelion passage in 2018. The apparent strengths range from -0.2 to -1.6 mag in a 5″ radius aperture and correspond to dust masses between ∼104 and 106 kg, but with large uncertainties due to the unknown grain size distributions....

    Laboratory scale experiments were conducted in order to investigate the photolysis of Reactive Blue 19 (RB 19) dye using UV as the irradiation source in alkaline solution. The effects of operating parameters such as, pH, initial dye concentration, UV dosage, hydrogen peroxide and oxygen have been evaluated. The results indicate that the UV photolysis process in alkaline solution is ideal for decolorizing of RB 19 and it can be taken as a starting step to establish the economical feasibility of the method for the decolorization of wastewater from textile industries
