Abstract
In this thesis we have been mainly interested in studying Single Impurity Anderson model (SIAM) in Dirac fermions. Although this model seems to be simple, the rich physics of SIAM can not be underestimated. In this thesis we were interested in Dirac materials, systems which their low energy excitations are described by Dirac equation.Therefore, considering Dirac material in two dimensions(2D), we briefly review the distinct features of one atom thick layer of carbon. Abstract
The two-sublattice nature of graphene lattice in conjunction with three-fold rotational symmetry, allows for the p-wave hybridization of the impurity state with the Bloch states of carbon atoms. Such an opportunity is not available in normal metals where the wave function is scalar. The p-wave hybridization function V (-k) appears when dealing with vacancies, substitutional adatoms and the hollow site impurities while the s-wave mixing on graphene lattice pertains only to the top site impurities. Abstract
Formation of localized magnetic states in a metallic host is a classic problem of condensed matter physics formalized by P. W. Anderson within the so called single impurity Anderson model (SIAM). The general picture in a host of a simple one-band metal is that a large Hubbard U in the impurity orbital is pre-requisite for the formation of localized magnetic states. In recent years three dimensional (3D) Dirac solids have emerged the hallmark of which is strong spin- orbit interaction. In this work we show that such a strong spin-orbit interaction allows to form localized magnetic states even with small values of Hubbard U. Abstract
Elemental bismuth and its compounds host strong spin-orbit interaction which is at the heart of topologically non-trivial alloys based on bismuth. These class of materials are described in terms of 4x4 matrices at each v point where spin and orbital labels of the underlying electrons are mixed. In this work we investigate the single impurity Anderson model (SIAM) within a mean field approximation to address the nature of local magnetic moment formation in a generic Dirac Hamiltonian. In this paper, we consider an integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system with wireless power transfer (WPT) where an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based radar serves a group of energy-limited communication users in addition to its sensing functionality. Two gains play key roles in recently developed MIMO wireless communication systems: "spatial diversity" gain and "spatial multiplexing" gain. The diversity gain refers to the capability to decrease the error rate of the MIMO channel, while the multiplexing gain implicitly refers to the amount of increase in the capacity of the MIMO channel. Abstract
Modified couple stress theory is a size-dependent theorem capturing the micro/nanoscale effects influencing the mechanical behaviors of the micro- and nanostructures. In this paper, it is applied to investigate the nonlinear vibration of carbon nanotubes under step DC voltage. The vibration, natural frequencies and dynamic pull-in characteristics of the carbon nanotubes are studied in detail. Moreover, the effects of various boundary conditions and geometries are scrutinized on the dynamic characteristics. The results reveal that application of this theory leads to the higher values of the natural frequencies and dynamic pull-in voltages

Abstract
We study a classical problem in communication and wireless networks called Finding White Space Regions. In this problem, we are given a set of antennas (points) some of which are noisy (black) and the rest are working fine (white). The goal is to find a set of convex hulls with maximum total area that cover all white points and exclude all black points. In other words, these convex hulls make it safe for white antennas to communicate with each other without any interference with black antennas. We study the problem on three different settings (based on overlapping between different convex hulls) and find hardness results and good approximation algorithms

Urmia Lake River Basin (ULRB) is one of the most important habitats in the world and one of the major agricultural regions in Iran. On average, the ratio of irrigation to evapotranspiration in this basin is more than 73%. Investigating the irrigation water requirement pattern changes and the spatial distribution of evapotranspiration during the basin development period on a regional scale play important roles in understanding the basin situation.
