Abstract
In this research incorporation of SAPO-34 zeolite filler into polycarbonate membrane was investigated for fabrication of mixed matrix membrane (MMM). The main purpose of addition of zeolite in polymer matrix is to enhance the separation properties of pure membrane by means of the selective pores of SAPO-34. SAPO-34 possesses pores with proper size for separation of CO2 from CH4 by molecular sieving mechanism. In this article, the effects of hot rolling parameters on static recrystallization, mechanical properties, and final microstructures of a low carbon steel have been investigated. A numerical analysis was first employed to determine distributions of temperature, strain, and strain rate during hot rolling and then the predicted results were combined with the additivity rule together with Avrami equation to evaluate the progress of non-isothermal static recrystallization after hot rolling. In this thesis, we simulate the competition between some investment strategies based on dividends with each other and with mean-variance strategy (Markowitz) in an evolutionary finance framework. We perform simulations by two different approaches. In the first one, we use real dividend data and, in the second one we use dividends that are generated according to a dividend factor model. The dividend factor model which relates the dividends to the macro-economic factors is estimated from data using principal component analysis. Localization procedures based on TOA and TDOA range measurements are considered in this paper. Abstract
Zeolite SAPO-34 was used for fabrication of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) to improve the CO2 /CH4 /N2 gas separation performance of the neat Pebax1074 membrane. Permeability and selectivity of the MMMs were studied at different temperatures of 25-65°C and pressures of 4-24 bars. Also sorption of different gases in MMMs was measured at 35°C and different pressures, which showed enhanced solubility coefficients. Abstract
The present study was carried out to evaluate the degradation efficiency of benzene, toluene, and xylene (BTX) by isolated bacteria from various petroleum-hydrocarbons contaminated sites. Five isolated bacteria were selected for testing BTX biodegradation from liquid culture media. Each of these bacteria was able to degrade BTX but with different efficiencies. Maximum biodegradation efficiency for benzene (more than 70 %) was obtained by Gram-positive coccobacillus, Gram-positive coccus and Gram-negative bacillus bacteria, for toluene (60 %) and xylene (70 %) by Gram-positive coccobacillus and Gram-negative coccobacillus.
