The economy of many countries is extremely dependent upon a large network of pipelines systems to transport and distribute the nation’s energy resources. Damages to the pipe structure may cause leakage and result in economic losses or even loss of life. Developing methods for detecting the anomalies and damages to the structure before they lead to catastrophic events is vital. Abstract
In this paper, we develop a theory to study the nano defects of various geometries within thin films. The considered thin films have face centered cubic (fee) structure. The eigenstrain method is combined with the long-range Sutton-Chen (SC) inter-atomic potential function which is appropriate for fee crystals. The disturbance caused by a defect in a thin film is determined from the equilibrium equation using the discrete Fourier transformation. The disturbed field is also determined using three dimensional (3D) Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation in which the constant NVT ensemble is applied to the atomic system. By locating a steel shear panel on the intersection point of the X-braces, concentrically or eccentrically braced shear panel (CBFSP or EBFSP) is formed. In this research, the main purpose of the controller design is in the second region of operation of a wind turbine, which involves absorbing the maximum energy from the wind. WindPACT 1.5MW turbine has been investigated and the power coefficient of this turbine has been obtained using WT-PERF and FAST softwares. Simulations show that the results of both methods are well matched. Then, using ANFIS, a method for estimating the wind speed is derived from the data obtained by FAST.
