    Abstract
    In this research, the surface stress distribution function due to the contact between a rigid rounded apex wedge and a FG coating is investigated. This study is important, especially in the fracture mechanics point of view, because stresses due to the contact can be considered as a fine crack source which grows gradually and finally leads to the failure of the structure. The structure includes two components. The first is the FG coating and then, the homogeneous substrate which is connected to the FG coating.     Abstract
    The architecture of a hardwired simulator for implementation of a discrete event-driven simulation of digital systems at the logic level is presented. In the design of this system, attempts have been made to utilize techniques of high performance computing to have a system capable of simulating the digital circuits rapidly. The centralized event-driven simulation algorithm chosen here, has the advantages of being efficient and conceptually straightforward. The high reliability of the simulator has been taken care of through a collection of handshake signals between each two of the three main modules. © Sharif University of Technology, December 2007

    This paper will consider the mathematical definition of chaos (in sense of Devaney) in order to select appropriate chaos tests. The tests chosen according to investigate the properties mentioned in the definition. In fact, these are prerequisites of chaoticity. Either it will be represented that "sensitivity dependence on initial conditions" is not equivalent to chaos, although some researchers considering it. Hence, it is implied that checking all of the properties mentioned in the definition are required to establish chaos.     We demonstrated a novel mixed-matrix composite membrane (MMCM) based on acrylated polyurethane (APU) and UiO-66 nanoparticles to separate CO 2 /N 2 mixture. UiO-66 and functionalized UiO-66 including NH 2 -UiO-66 and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)-UiO-66 were loaded into APU/2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (APUH) matrix at variable concentrations between 3 and 30 wt %. APUH/GMA-UiO-66 MMCMs exhibited strong adhesion with a support layer of polyester/polysulfone, which was not deteriorated after immersion in water for a long time (20 days).     In the current work, the performance of untreated nanodiamonds (UNDs) and thermally oxidized nanodiamonds (ONDs), as adsorbents for selective adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous media, was examined. The adsorption isotherm, initial pH, ionic strength, and thermodynamic study were investigated in batch experiments. The equilibrium adsorption data were analyzed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models, which indicated that the isotherms were well fitted with the Langmuir model for both dyes.     In the present study, capability of nanodiamond (ND) for the adsorption of anionic (methyl orange, MO) and cationic (methylene blue, MB) dyes from aqueous solution was investigated. Employing fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Boehm titration method and zeta potential, it was found that the simple thermal oxidation of ND at 425 °C, increased the content of carboxylic acid of ND and accordingly the zeta potential of ND decreased considerably.     Three versions of zirconium-based metal organic frameworks, NH2-UiO-66, GMA-UiO-66, and EDA-UiO-66, were synthesized and employed as adsorbent for CO2/CH4 separation.
