Abstract
Abstract: A novel simple synthetic procedure for improving cell efficiency and reducing the production cost of TiO2 dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by modification and optimization of homemade formulated paste is reported. This is achieved in terms of morphological manipulation of deposited monolayer TiO2 films by controlling three processing parameters of paste formulation. These parameters are tailored to obtain a paste with proper viscosity suitable for spin-coating technique and to achieve uniform, homogeneous, and crack-free films with good connections between TiO2 grains and porous structure. Photovoltaic measurements show that TiO2 ...
Morphological Manipulation of Photo-Anode Electrode of Nano-Structured TiO2 Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

Abstract
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are Photoelectrochemical cells using wide band gap nanoporous oxide semiconductors sensitized by dye molecules. For achieving high efficiency DSSCs preparation of photoanode electrode with high surface aea which leads to adequate dye absorption is necessary. In order to achieve proper morphology, thickness, particles size and porosity, producing a TiO2 nano-structured paste is required. TiO2 powder was prepared using sol-gel method. following a calcination process at 300 degrees, XRD patterns showed presence of anatase and brookite structures with average crystallite size of 9 nm. Additives such as diethylene glycol, acetylacetone and Triton X-100 were used...

Abstract
The light scattering, harvesting and adsorption effects in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are studied by preparation of coated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with TiO2 and Zr-doped TiO2 nanoparticles in the forms of mono- and double-layer cells. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis reveals that the phase composition of Zr-doped TiO2 electrode is a mixture of anatase and rutile phases with major rutile content, whereas it is the same mixture with major anatase content for coated CNTs with TiO2 . Furthermore, the average crystallite size of Zr-doped TiO2 electrode is slightly decreased with Zr introduction. Field emission scanning electron...
Evaluation and Analysis of tDCS and tACS in Improvement of Tinnitus Condition
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Jahed, Mehran (Supervisor) ; Hani Tabatabaie, Mozhgan (Co-Supervisor) ; Asadpour, Abdureza (Co-Supervisor)
Abstract
Tinnitus is variety of sounds heard when no corresponding external sound is present. To remedy this condition, various methods have been proposed, however none have resulted in systematic and lasting results. This study aims to investigate the efficacy of non-invasive electrical stimulation techniques (tES) in the treatment of tinnitus. Stimulation parameters, including intensity, frequency, duration, and session frequency, are tailored to the individual's subjective tinnitus characteristics and treatment goals. Specifically, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is explored as a non-invasive method of electrical stimulation. In the tDCS method, electrodes are strategically...

Abstract
Tinnitus means hearing a sound without an external source. Despite the research done in relation to it, it is still an unknown phenomenon and no method has been introduced to treat it. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation is one of the methods that its effectiveness in decreasing tinnitus sound is still under investigation. This technology is a non-invasive method to stimulate the brain, which modulates the activity of neurons by applying successive electromagnetic pulses on the scalp. Most of the studies conducted in this field have used clinical evaluations to investigate the effect of stimulation. Relying on this method alone to evaluate the effect of stimulation cannot take a...
