    Spinal posture including thorax/pelvis orientations as well as loads on the intervertebral discs are crucial parameters in biomechanical models and ergonomics to evaluate the risk of low back injury. In vivo measurement of spinal posture toward estimation of spine loads requires the common motion capture techniques and laboratory instruments that are costly and time-consuming.     Abstract
    Sensor network deployment is very challenging due to hostile and unpredictable nature of usage environments. In this letter, we propose two methods for the self-deployment of mobile sensors. The first one is a randomized solution that provides both simplicity and applicability to different environments. Inspired by simulated annealing, it improves both speed and energy conservation of the deployment process. The other method is suggested for environments where sensors form a connected graph, initially. At the cost of this extra limitation, we gain considerable improvements. © 2006 IEEE

Because fuel costs are the main part of fuel-consumed power generation costs and fossil resource costs are highly subsidized in Iran, renewable energies such as wind power have yet to be fully developed.     In this study, effects of tungsten on wear resistance of high chromium white cast iron with and without tungsten in erosion-corrosion condition have been investigated. At the same time, the comparison between wear resistance of this grade of cast iron and low alloy steels with various contents of Cr which are used in industrial condition (in Sarcheshme Company, the greatest copper production company in the Middle East and with more than 4000 years historical cupper production background) was studied, while, copper concentrates have used for erosion particles.     In this study, crosslinked and non-crosslinked carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) membranes were prepared with different concentrations of polymer. Then, the permeability of pure CO2, N2, and CH4 was measured through these membranes in dry state to investigate the influence of polymer concentration and applied feed pressure on permeability and permselectivity. The permeability of CO2 through membranes was higher than the other gases.     In this study chitosan hydrogel beads with porosity ∼ 0.86 and diameter ∼ 2 ± 0.07 mm were prepared from 85 % deacetylated chitosan for removal of Cd2+ ions from aqueous solutions. Chitosan powder was dissolved into dilute acetic acid as solvent and formed into spherical beads using a phase inversion technique. The effect of temperature, initial concentration of Cd2+ ions, and the period of agitation were perused to achieve the best isotherm model.
