    Interaction of freestream disturbances with high-speed inviscid flow over a blunt nose is simulated utilizing a shock-fitted spectral collocation method. The unsteady flow computations are made through solving the 2D Euler equations by virtue of such a dissipation-free numerical algorithm for precise unsteady flow simulations. A shock-fitting technique is employed to accurately compute the unsteady shock motions and its interaction with monochromatic freestream disturbances of different conditions.     The purpose of this paper is to study and identify suitable outflow boundary conditions for the numerical simulation of viscous supersonic/hypersonic flow over blunt bodies, governed by the compressible Navier-Stokes equations, with an emphasis motivated primarily by the use of spectral methods without any filtering. The subsonic/supersonic composition of the outflow boundary requires a dual boundary treatment for well-posedness.     A Multi-level asynchronous delta sigma modulator consist of several Schmitt-triggers and a novel time-to-digital converter is presented as a core of a delta sigma modulation based analog to digital converter (ADC).     Abstract
    A dual mode UHF RFID transponder in 0.18 μm CMOS conforming to the EPC Gen 2 standard is presented. Low voltage design of the analog and digital blocks enables the chip to operate with a 1 V regulated voltage and thus to reduce the power consumption. The novel dual mode architecture enables the chip to work in passive and battery-assisted modes controlled by the reader. A custom Gen 2 based command switches the operation mode of the circuit. By using a special clock calibration method the chip operates from 1.2 to 5 MHz clock frequency.     The design strategy and efficiency optimization of UHF micro-power rectifiers using a novel diode connected MOS transistor is presented. The proposed diode connected MOS transistor uses a new bulk connection which leads to reduce the threshold voltage and leakage current in compare to conventional diode connected transistors.     This work is concerned with the monitoring of ultrasound effects on inhibition, as well as the reversible kinetics modeling of asphaltene flocculation in toluene-n-alkane systems, which has been rarely reported in the literature. A crude oil sample was exposed to ultrasound waves, and then the colloidal structural evolutions of flocculated asphaltene particles induced by addition of n-alkane were studied, using a confocal microscopy.     Dental composites of A2 color using Bis-GMA, urethane dimethacrylate and triethyleneglycol dimethycrylate resins (70/20/10), and silica filler (70 wt%, 75 wt%, and 80 wt%), a hybrid of nano- and microsilica particles, are made and subjected to the following tests: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), particle size analyzer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), and also cytotoxicity.     In this paper, results of an investigation on strain hardening mechanisms of aged AEREX350 alloy during room temperature compression testing are reported. TEM studies were conducted on commercial samples aged at 850 °C both before and after deformation in a strain range of 0.15-0.27. It was found that only coherent γ′ precipitates with L12 structure formed in these samples prior to deformation. TEM studies also showed twin intersections in the deformed samples. Based on these observations, it is suggested that the high strain hardening rate of the aged material in this strain range is mainly related to the formation of intersecting deformation twins.
