Preparation and Investigation of the Electrochemical Behavior of Sensors Modified with Reduced Graphene Oxide nanohybrids for Electrochemical Determinations of Some Biologically Important Compounds
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Shahrokhian, Saeed (Supervisor)
Abstract
In the first work, a stable composite film of silver nanoparticles decorated on reduced graphene oxide is easily prepared. The surface morphology of the modified electrode is characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) techniques. The electrochemical behavior of TNZ on the surface of the modified electrode is investigated by using linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The prepared modified electrode acts as a highly sensitive platform for the voltammetric determination of tinidazole (TNZ). Voltammetric investigations demonstrated that, in comparison to the glassy carbon electrode individually coated with...

A new approach for automatic test pattern generation in register transfer level circuits
, Article IEEE Design and Test ; Volume 30, Issue 4 , 2013 , Pages 49-59 ; 21682356 (ISSN) ; Tabandeh, M ; Alizadeh, B ; Navabi, Z ; Sharif University of Technology
2013
Abstract
The article proposes an approach to generate high-level test patterns from the arithmetic model of a register-transfer-level (RTL) circuit using a hybrid canonical data structure based on a decision diagram. High-level simplified and fast symbolic path activation strategy as well as input justification is combined with test pattern generation for circuits under consideration. For simplification of a test procedure, some ATPG approaches have been introduced based on binary decision diagram (BDD) tools. Since these methods require the design to be flattened into the bit level, they cannot be used to deal with large industrial benchmarks efficiently, either in terms of memory or runtime....

Abstract
This paper presents an efficient High-Level Synthesis (HLS) approach to improve RT-Level concurrent testing. The proposed method used for both fault detection and fault location. At first the available resources are used in their dead intervals to test active resources for fault detection, and then some changes are applied to the RT-Level controller to locate the faults. The fault detection step is based on a genetic algorithm (GA) search technique. This genetic algorithm is applied to the design after high level synthesis process to explore the test map. The proposed method has been evaluated based on dependability enhancement and area/latency overhead imposed to different benchmarks after...
RT-Level Test Pattern Generation with Horner Expansion Model
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Tabandeh, Mahmoud (Supervisor) ; Navabi, Zainalabedin (Co-Advisor)
Abstract
Increasing in size and complexity of digital designs has made manufacturing process more complex and enforces more complexity in verification of designs. This makes it essential to address critical verification issues at the early stages of design cycle. Such a complicated designs needs to be tested for fabrication faults as well as functional faults. Several attempts have been made to raise the quality of testing methods with automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) and design for testability (DFT) methods in logic and lower levels. Although these techniques try to increase the testability of a circuit considerably, but there are always some overheads in area, power and performance....

Abstract
By advances in technology, integrated circuits have come to include more functionality and more complexity in a single chip. Although methods of testing have improved, but the increase in complexity of circuits, keeps testing a challenging problem. Two important challenges in testing of digital circuits are test time and accessing the circuit under test (CUT) for testing. These challenges become even more important in complex system on chip (SoC) zone. This paper presents an improved scheme for generating pre-computed test patterns in core-based systems on chip. This approach reduces the number of pre-computed test patterns and as the result, test application time (TAT) will be decreased....
System Level Communication Testing Considering Functionality
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Tabandeh, Mahmoud (Supervisor) ; Navabi, Zainalabedin (Co-Advisor)
Abstract
Due to the development of electronics, technology has entered new levels of integration on a single chip, called the System-on-Chip (SoC) design. Currently a SoC may contain various Intellectual Property (IP) cores with different interface protocols. For typical SoC communication, designers implement numerous standards such as Avalon from Altera and AMBA from ARM. These standards have different topologies with their own properties and are suitable for specific applications, But the challengeable problem is testing interconnects between cores. In testing process, important elements of a bus that should be tested are interconnections between cores (wires), multiplexers, arbiters, decoders, and...
Periodic solutions for a semi-ratio-dependent predator-prey dynamical system with a class of functional responses on time scales
, Article Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - Series B ; Volume 9, Issue 2 , 2008 , Pages 267-279 ; 15313492 (ISSN) ; Hesaaraki, M ; Sharif University of Technology

Abstract
In this paper we explore the existence of periodic solutions of a nonautonomous semi-ratio-dependent predator-prey dynamical system with functional responses on time scales. To illustrate the utility of this work, we should mention that, in our results this system with a large class of monotone functional responses, always has at least one periodic solution. For instance, this system with some celebrated functional responses such as Holling type-II (or Michaelis-Menten), Holling type-III, Ivlev, mx (Holling type I), sigmoidal [e.g., Real and mx2/((A + x)(B +x))] and some other monotone functions, has always at least one ω-periodic solution. Besides, for some well-known functional responses...

With these objectives, this thesis examines the previously suggested load scheduling programs in both residential and industrial sectors, and proposes new practical strategies for load management. This thesis has mainly focuses on three subdivisions of load management...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Parniani, Mostafa (Supervisor)
Abstract
Increase in growing concerns over environmental pollution and depletion of fossil fuel resources motivate the need for cleaner energy technologies and stimulate research in facilitating renewable energy systems. In recent years, photovoltaic systems have attracted great attention since they remove the need for energy storage systems and intermediate processess for energy conversion. However, high capital cost, low efficiency and low energy density per area of these systems, as compared with other technologies hinder its industrial use. To surmount these bottlenecks and improve technical performance of PV systems, it is crucial to optimize configuration of convertor connection and to improve...

Feyerabend’s Point of View on Scientific Progress
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Taghavi, Mostafa (Supervisor)
Abstract
Feyarabend’s philosophy of science is against method and rule such that he believes that “anything goes”. However, he sometimes applies the term “progress”. Reviewing his publications shows that from his point of view, progress is qualitative and relative. So, unlike other philosophers of science Feyarabend ignores the clarification of the concept; subsequently, his applications of the term “progress” are somewhat ambiguous. However, by studying his philosophy, one may realize what should be done to achieve progress in any sense. The affirmative aspect of Feyerabend’s philosophy, while highlights the social and ethical elements, considering his humanitarian outlook as well as his special...
