Abstract
The formation of water drops as a Newtonian fluid and formation of a shear-thinning non-Newtonian fluid, Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose (CMC) from a capillary into different bulk fluids are experimentally investigated. A high speed camera is used to visualize the images of the drops and an image-processing code employed to determine the drop properties from each image. It was found that the properties of the water drops when they are drooped into the liquids bulk fluids such as toluene and n-hexane are almost the same while they differed substantially when they were drooped into the air bulk fluid. In this paper, we propose a new scenario in order to increase the total throughput of a WLAN. In this scenario, some secondary users (SUs) are considered in a primary WLAN such that SUs cooperate with primary users (PUs) in transmitting the primary packets. Each SU sends its packets as well as the primary packets collided at the access point, but overheard successfully at the SU, by random access the primary WLAN. In this study, a methodology has been presented for radial positioning of the die holes in multi-hole extrusion of non-symmetric sections. The objective of radial positioning is to minimize exit profile curvature. For this purpose, a two-hole die with non-symmetric T-shaped holes has been investigated. To this end, a level set framework is used to represent the discontinuities location, and the Heaviside and Branch function are included in the standard finite element method. 12-tungstophosphoric acid, polyoxometalate with Keggin structure, and γ-Al2O3 were synthesized. Loading of 12-tungstophosphoric acid (HPW) on γ-Al2O3 was performed by the post-impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, SEM, FTIR, BET, and DRS techniques. According to the pertinent observation, using the post-impregnation method promises the stability of polyoxometalate Keggin structure after loading on γ-Al2O3 support. Abstract
LBP coefficients are essential and determine the priority of gray differences. The objectives of this paper are to reveal this and propose a method for finding an optimal priority through the genetic algorithm. On the other hand, the genetic operators such as initialization and cross-over operators, generate invalid coefficients, defective chromosomes. This paper also recommends a rectifying method for correcting defective chromosomes. Results on the FERET and Extended Yale B datasets indicate that the proposed method has markedly higher recognition rates than LBP. © 2017 IEEE

The nanocomposite of zero-valent iron and delafossite CuFeO2 supported on reduced graphene oxide was synthesized for the first time to evaluate its performance as the heterogeneous catalyst toward electro-Fenton (EF) removal of catechol. X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform-infrared, scanning electron microscopy and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) were used to characterize the nanocomposite. Abstract
One of the beneficial impacts of Distributed generation (DG) units on electrical network is power loss reduction in the distribution feeder on which DG is located. In this paper the effect of DG on power losses of a distribution feeder with a combination of uniformly distributed and lumped loads is investigated, and a mathematical model of power loss reduction as a function of DG and the feeder parameters is extracted.
