Abstract
In a secure multiparty computation (MPC) system, there are some sources, where each one has access to a private input. The sources want to offload the computation of a polynomial function of the inputs to some processing nodes or workers. The processors are unreliable, i.e., a limited number of them may collude to gain information about the inputs. The objective is to minimize the number of required workers to calculate the polynomial, while the colluding workers gain no information about inputs. In this paper, we assume that the inputs are massive matrices, while the workers have the limited computation and storage at each worker. As proxy for that, we assume the link between each source...

Abstract
In this article, we consider a secure multi-party computation problem (MPC), where the goal is to offload the computation of an arbitrary polynomial function of some massive private matrices (inputs) to a cluster of workers. The workers are not reliable. Some of them may collude to gain information about the input data (semi-honest workers). The system is initialized by sharing a (randomized) function of each input matrix to each server. Since the input matrices are massive, each share's size is assumed to be at most 1/k fraction of the input matrix, for some k ∈ N. The objective is to minimize the number of workers needed to perform the computation task correctly, such that even if an...
Clustering and Embedding Graphs into Trees

Abstract
In this thesis, we study the following question stating that “how well a tree structure can approximate the clustering structure of a graph”.To do this, we first focus on the DJS algorithm proposed by Daneshgar et.al. and second we consider the minimum distortion tree approximation algorithm proposed by Abraham et.al.We conclude, using some experimental results, that the minimum spanning tree algorithm extracts some geometric aspects of the data set that the Abraham et.al. algorithm can not track

Abstract
In this paper, we introduce limited-sharing multiparty computation; in which there is a network of workers (processors) and a set of sources, each having access to a massive matrix as a private input. These sources aim to offload the task of computing a polynomial function of the matrices to the workers, while preserving the privacy of data. We also assume that the load of the link between each source and each worker is upper bounded by a fraction of each input matrix for some cin{1, rac{1}{2},rac{1}{3}, ldots}. The objective is to minimize the number of workers needed to perform the computation, such that even if an arbitrary subset of t-1 workers, for some tin mathbb{N}, collude, they...

Abstract
Macroporous styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers with different degree of crosslinking were prepared by suspension polymerization in presence of different binary mixtures of toluene and heptane, as diluent. Specific surface area, bulk and apparent densities, and pore volume of the resulting beads were determined experimentally. Applying the least square method to the experimental data, correlations for prediction of these properties were obtained. Effects of divinylbenzene concentration, diluent to comonomer volume ratio, and composition of the diluent mixture were considered in developing the aforementioned correlations. The influence of the reaction recipe on porous structure of the samples...

Abstract
Among High Level Natural Radiation Areas (HLNRAs) all over the world, the northern coastal city of Ramsar has been considered enormously important. Many studies have measured environmental radioactivity in Ramsar, however, no survey has been undertaken to measure concentrations in the diets of residents. This study determined the 226Ra activity concentration in the daily diet of people of Ramsar. The samples were chosen from both normal and high level natural radiation areas and based on the daily consumption patterns of residents. About 150 different samples, which all are local and have the highest consumption, were collected during the four seasons. In these samples, after washing and...

Abstract
Anxiety is among the most debilitating nonmotor symptoms of Parkinson's disease (PD). This study aimed to determine how PD patients with low and high levels of anxiety (LA-PD and HA-PD, respectively) compare with age- and sex-matched controls at the level of motor control of reach-to-grasp movements during single- and dual-task conditions with varying complexity. Reach-to-grasp movement kinematics were assessed in 20 LA-PD, 20 HA-PD, and 20 sex- and age-matched healthy controls under single- as well as easy and difficult dual-task conditions. Assessment of PD patients was performed during both the on- and off-drug phases. The results obtained during dual-task conditions reveal deficits in...

Abstract
Ramsar, in the north of Iran by the Caspian Sea, has been known for the highest natural radiation background on Earth due to the local geology and hydrogeology. The residents and visitors use the hot springs that distribute the natural radionuclides especially 226Ra and its decay products in the areas. Many studies have been undertaken to measure the absorbed dose rate in Ramsar's air, however, no survey has been done to assess public internal exposure from ingestion of natural radionuclides, such as, a broad survey for 226Ra was conducted in foodstuffs and drinking water. This study presents the results of public annual activity intake (Bq) and effective dose (μSv) from ingestion of 226Ra...

Abstract
An Erbium-doped silica CROW can be employed as a band pass and band stop amplifier in telecommunication systems. Also it can be proposed as wide band amplifier as well as narrow band amplifier. We investigate theoretically and simulate structure of Erbium-doped CROW (EDC) with different parameters to realize its performance and possible applications as an amplifier. In this paper we try to consider effect of different parameters on gain spectrum of systems. © 2009 SPIE

Abstract
Learning a foreign language encompasses a process of trial and error that can lead to the progression of the learner's interlanguage, meaning that the learners make use of their language knowledge that receives feedback and brings about progress through diagnosis of the problems and being corrected by the teacher. Therefore, there exists a need to analyze the underlying reasons causing the students to remain taciturn with a low willingness to communicate (WTC) during a language class. There has been much work done investigating the role of the learner's stable personal characteristics (traits) along with their situational changes at a specific time (states) that influence the student's...

Abstract
Accurate system identification (SI) is essential for flight controller design of unmanned aerial vehicles and microaerial vehicles (MAVs). SI can be performed either in frequency or time domain using flight test data. As flight testing is often costly and may even lead to catastrophic events before some flight stability analysis is at hand, a low-cost 5 degree-of-freedom free motion platform (FMP) is designed and used for initial identification of MAVs via wind tunnel testing. A typical MAV is constructed as a test case and equipped with inertial sensors for testing and validation purposes. The proposed FMP allows for both rotational as well as translational motions that in turn provide for...

Abstract
Using 3-D scanned data to analyze and extract pore network plays a vital role in investigation of porous media's characteristics. In this paper, a new simple method is developed to detect pores and throats for analyzing the connectivity and permeability of the network. This automated method utilizes some of the common and well-known image processing functions which are widely accessible by researchers and this has led to an easy algorithm implementation. In this method, after polishing and quality control of images, using city-block distance function and watershed segmentation algorithm, pores and throats are detected and 3-D network is produced. This method can also be applied on 2-D images...

Abstract
In this paper, we try to recognize and distinguish different groups of arrhythmia using novel features which have been obtained from the heart rate's phase space in recent years. For this purpose, we used Triangular Phase Space Mapping (TPSM) and Parabolic Phase Space Mapping (PPSM). For recognition, we used three groups of 15 subjects using the Physionet database (Arrhythmia, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and Atrial Fibrillation (AF)) with Normal Sinus Rhythm (NSR). The obtained features discriminate arrhythmia from NSR by p

Abstract
Uncertainty is a critical factor in medical datasets needed to be overcome for increasing diagnosis efficiency. This paper proposes an intelligent classification algorithm comprising a fuzzy rule-based approach, a harmony search (HS) algorithm, and a heuristic algorithm to classify medical datasets intelligently. Two fuzzy approaches, as well as orthogonal and triangular fuzzy sets, are first utilized to define the attributes of data. Then, an HS algorithm is integrated with a heuristic to generate fuzzy rules to select the best rules in the fuzzy rule-based systems. Moreover, to improve the performance of the proposed classification approach, a three-phase parameter tuning approach is...

Abstract
Shared hosting is a kind of web hosting in which multiple websites reside on one webserver. It is cost-effective and makes the administration easier for websites' owners. However, shared hosting has some performance and security issues. In default shared hosting configuration, all websites' scripts are executed under the webserver's user account regardless of their owners. Therefore, a website is able to access other websites' resources. This security problem arises from lack of proper isolation between different websites hosted on the same webserver. In this survey, we have examined different methods for handling mentioned security issue. Also we evaluated the performance of mentioned...
The behaviour of an artificially cemented sandy gravel

Abstract
The major section of the city of Tehran, Iran has been developed on cemented coarse-grained alluvium. This deposit consists of gravely sand to sandy gravel with some cobbles and is dominantly cemented by carbonaceous materials. In order to understand the mechanical behaviour of this soil, a series of undrained triaxial compression tests and unconfined compression tests were performed on uncemented and artificially cemented samples. Portland cement type I was used as the cementation agent for preparing artificially cemented samples. Uncemented samples and lightly cemented samples (1.5% cement) tested at high confining pressure showed contractive behaviour accompanied with positive excess pore...
An imperialist competitive algorithm approach for multi-objective optimization of direct coupling photovoltaic-electrolyzer systems

Abstract
In the context of sustainable clean hydrogen production pathways, photovoltaic-electrolyzer systems are one of the most promising alternatives for acquiring hydrogen from renewable energy sources. In fact, determining the optimal set of design and operating variables are always a key issue while coupling directly renewable electricity sources to PEM electrolyzers. Few previous studies have attempted to find the optimal size and operational condition of directly coupled photovoltaic-electrolyzer (PV/El) systems in order to maximize the hydrogen production or to minimize energy transfer loss between photovoltaic devices and the electrolyzer. Nevertheless an easy and efficient approach still...
