    Reactive power compensation is known as an effective tool to overcome the violations of voltage limits in electric power systems. It is also deployed to be an efficient method to minimise transmission losses. In order to maximize the effectiveness of reactive power compensation, VAr sources of proper sizes should be placed at some network buses. In this paper, a new VAr expansion tool has been developed to improve the voltage profile and reduce MW losses in a bulk power network.     In this paper we consider a two-level supply chain system consisting of one warehouse and one retailer. The retailer faces Poisson demand. We introduce a new approach to inventory control in the supply chain management which is different from the classical policies used in the literature of inventory and production control systems.     This study considers a two-level supply chain system consisting of one warehouse and a number of identical retailers. In this system, we incorporate transportation costs into inventory replenishment decisions. The transportation cost contains a fixed cost and a variable cost. We assume that the demand rate at each retailer is known and the demand is confined to a single item. First, we derive the total cost which is the sum of the holding mid ordering cost at the warehouse and retailers as well as the transportation cost from the warehouse to retailers.     This thesis studies the possible solution to the H0 tension via a dynamical systems approach. The early dark energy (IDE) scenario can somewhat alleviate the Hubble constant tension. On the other hand, postulating a new subdominant EDE in the pre – recombination Universe can also resolve the H0 tension. We introduce a novel model to interweave the early dark energy(EDE) and interacting dark energy-dark matter (IDE) scenarios. In this scenario, the early dark energy emerges naturally by changing the topological class of the phase portrait of the universe dynamics.     Abstract
    In this paper a two level supply chain system is studied, in which the final demand is assumed to be fuzzy with triangular membership function. The inventory control policy of (r, Q) is followed for this system and unsatisfied demand is assumed to be back ordered. The objective is to minimize the total cost of the system, including ordering, holding and shortage costs. The model happens to be a nonlinear programming. Considering the complexity arising from the model, we also develop a genetic algorithm to obtain a near-optimal solution. The method is illustrated through some numerical examples

    This paper presents a practical reactive power valuation method, for the purpose of the reactive power pricing, in which the VAr value is decomposed into two components. These components are basically different from those already employed in the literature. Using a security constrained optimization model, the proposed scheme allocates two specific amounts of MW transactions to each generator as a dynamic reactive power source. One of these allocated amounts represents the contribution of the VAr resource to the shipment of active power, while the other one represents the contribution to the protection of the system against voltage instability.     This paper presents a reactive power valuation method with regard to its effect on realization of MW transactions. The security constraint optimization model in which the objective function is maximization of transactions is solved by the genetic algorithm approach. The proposed scheme allocates a specific amount of MW transactions to each dynamic reactive power source. An index is introduced to derive VAr value from the calculated optimal parameters of power network. This index represents the system-wide effect of MVAr sources on MW transactions implementations.     Deep learning (DL) has been employed for a wide range of tasks in dentistry. We aimed to systematically review studies employing DL for periodontal and implantological purposes. A systematic electronic search was conducted on four databases (Medline via PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, and Embase) and a repository (ArXiv) for publications after 2010, without any limitation on language.     We introduce a new smooth, non-toxic, biocompatible method for cross-linking of gum tragacanth (GT), a polysaccharide of natural origin, in order to serve as a new supporting matrix for immobilization systems. The modified gum is used as a matrix for the catalysis of the conversion of benzyl penicillin to 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA) by means of Escherichia coli ATCC11105 with penicillin G acylase (PGA) activity.     In this study, the influence of CO2 and CH4 on the performance and selectivity of Co-Ru/Al2O3 catalyst is investigated by injection of these gases (0-20 vol.% of feed) to the feed stream. The effect of temperature and feed flow rate are also inspected. The results show that low amounts of CO2 in the feed stream do not change the catalyst activity, but increasing the amount of CO2 (more than 10 vol.%), causes the CO conversion to decrease and the selectivity of heavy components to increase.
