Abstract
Much research has been done in the electromagnetic levitation process, but there is not any information about carrying out this process to refine steel continuously. In this study inclusion behavior of molten steel in contact with slag, in the presence of an electeomagnetic field, has been investigated. The steel sample, in an elliptical section, was levitated in an electromagnetic field, in a chamber containing slag consisting of CaF2-Al2O3-CaO, in order to achieve a continuous process, and changes in time, temperature and slag composition parameters in this process were studied. Investigating the Appropriate Decline Curve Model for Heterogeneous Reservoirs

In this research oil production decline curve of heterogonous reservoirs was investigated. Heterogeneity is modeled by percolation theory and using Petrel software and mass balance equations are solved by Eclipse simulation software. In primary production stage which oil flows up the reservoir spontaneously by reservoir high internal pressure, decline curve is exponential. Abstract
In this work, the concept of problem table decomposition for the thermal integration of continuous processes is extended to batch processes. The approach is based on a combination of time intervals using pinch analysis tools and energy storage system design. Pinch analysis improves energy efficiency for batch processes and it may increase the productivity of a revised plant. Operational and economical constraints may cause some limitation; therefore, in this approach process constraints and flexibilities are carefully considered by defining individual time and heat intervals. Abstract
Samples of INCONEL 718 were levitated and melted in a slag by the application of an electromagnetic field. The effects of temperature, time, and slag composition on the inclusion content of the samples were studied thoroughly. Samples were compared with the original alloy to study the effect of the process on inclusions. Size, shape, and chemical composition of remaining non-metallic inclusions were investigated. Abstract
Polypropylene (PP) is a fast growing polymer, particularly in automotive industry, where PP compounds have replaced many different parts made of conventional materials. In the first step, PP-g-MA, as compatibilizer, was synthesized. Two kinds of polypropylenes including a homo- and a block co-polymer were incorporated for this goal. Characterizations via titration and FTIR tests revealed higher degree of grafting reaction when homo-polymer was used for synthesizing PP-g-MA. Abstract
The perovskite oxide BaTiO3, doped with Ge oxides oxidized methane to C2 coupled hydrocarbons. The ultraviolet-visible spectra of pure barium titanate and Ge doped BaTi(1-x) GexO3 (x=0.05 ,0.1) were compared. The pure barium titanate exhibited an ultraviolet absorption effect. The addition of GeO2 resulted in an increase in absorption of wavelength. Therefore, small amount of Ge decreased band gap energy. Oxygen is inserted by nucleophilic attack which may be considered as an acid-base process. For promoted BaTiO3 catalysts with stable cation valance, electron donation ability of lattice oxygen is parallels to its ability of adsorb and active oxygen, and decrease the chance of deep oxidation...

Abstract
In the first part of this thesis, the application of core-shell magnetic nanoparticles supported V(V), Mo(VI) and Mn(III) complexes in the catalytic oxidation and reduction reactions was discussed. A magnetically recyclable vanadium(V) catalyst was synthesized by covalent anchoring of VO(salen)Cl on silica coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles. These nanoparticles were efficient catalysts for selective oxidation of sulfides to corresponding sulfoxides with urea hydrogen peroxide in excellent yields. Leaching and recycling experiments revealed that the nanocatalyst can be applied for nearly complete oxidation of sulfides for at least five successive cycles.
