As a result, sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) rises noticeably in popularity among academics for researching on it and industrialists for applying it. Having reviewed respective researches, The SSCM is addressed by an integrated approach in this rsearch for selecting green suppliers and finding optimal production plan in two phase. In first phase, thank to related literature, a framework including environmental criteria is purposed for evaluating suppliers by Analytic network process method (ANP)....
Design and Fabrication and Parameter Extraction of Q-band Waveguide Filter with Transmission Zeros
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Banai, Ali (Supervisor)
Abstract
E-plane waveguide filters are good choices due to highly manfacturing accuracy in Q-band microwave devices. To increase the attenuation slop or selectivity of such filters one need to synthesis transmission zeros with cross coupled resonators. With this method for constanst degree and return loss, attenuation slop increases in comparison to direct coupled resonators.
In this thesis we designed and fabricated a Q-band 4th degree filter, with center frequency at 42.1746 GHz and bandwidth of 350 MHz with two transmission zeros. Results of simulations and measurments are given in chapters 3 and 5.

Estimating the Interaction Between Sites of a System by Convolutional Neural Networks and Applying Renormalization Group Methods on the Network’s Density Matrix
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Rouhani, Shahin (Supervisor)
Abstract
In the last two decades, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have shown significant capabilities in artificial intelligence. These networks are able to provide comprehensive conclusions about the overall behavior a system by analyzing the relationship between the components of that system; Clearly, these networks have been successful in performing categorization tasks. However, there are no coherent theories as to why they work, and how to optimize them. On the other hand, according to recent research on the relationship between deep networks (in computer science) and Renormalization Group (in physics), convolutional networks seem to use a method similar to the Density Matrix Renormalization...

Boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund Singular Inegral Operators
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ranjbar-Motlagh, Alireza (Supervisor)
Abstract
The so called T(b) theorem for boundedness of generalized CalderonZygmund singular integrals is investigated. This theorem provides a criterion, in which boundedness of the operator is equivalent to a special condition for the image of some function under action of that operator. Then we discuss some applications of the theorem in analysis and partial differential equations
Enhancement in Frequency Control of Microgrids by Application of Modified Controller in Virtual Synchronous Generator
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ranjbar, Ali Mohammad (Supervisor)
Abstract
global warming and air pollution due to the excessive consumption of fossil fuels have led to the proliferation of renewable energy sources (RESs). RESs are connected to the grid through power electronic converters and therefore, provide insignificant inertia and damping property for the system. As a result, the system overall inertia and damping is decreased and therefore, the system stability is jeopardized. This thesis presents a comprehensive small signal model for a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) integrated into a microgrid. In the developed state space, active and reactive power control loops of the VSG as well as resistances and reactances of the lines are considered. Based on...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Rahimitabar, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor) ; Taghavinia, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, We propose and test a method for controlling the size of nanoparticles, which plays a fundamental role in their electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. The method utilizes turbulent mixing, and is applicable to the fabrication of any type of nanoparticle that uses a solution environment in the preparation process. We show by well-controlled experiments on the CdS nanoparticles, which are semiconducting materials, that the average size < d > of the particles decreases with Reynolds number Re. To gain a deeper understanding of the phenomena reported here, we have carried out molecular dynamics simulations of the processes. In second investigation, We provide a simple...

Abstract
Noise interference and data loss are two major problems that affect the processing results of image data transmission and storage. Restoration of the lost information of an image based on the existing information is the essence of inpainting. In this paper a new algorithm based on Sample and Hold interpolation and Iteration is proposed for reconstructing damaged images from existing regions and is compared to some other methods. The experimental results show the superiority of the visual quality and PSNR performance of the proposed method. It is observed that this approach can efficiently fill in the holes with visually plausible information

Abstract
This article presents a comprehensive small signal model for a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) integrated into a microgrid. In the developed state-space, active and reactive power control loops of the VSG as well as resistances, and reactances of the lines are considered. Based on this model, the robust D-stable region in terms of different values of inertia constant $(M)$, and damping coefficient $(D)$ values of the VSG is obtained. To enhance both transient performance as well as guarantee the robust D-stable operation of VSG, an optimization problem is also proposed. Moreover, a new control method is suggested to damp frequency oscillations of the microgrid. The proposed controller is...

Abstract
Industrial enzymes can generally be classified into three groups: carbohydrases, proteases and lipases, which account for a major part of the global enzyme trade. Proteases, in particular, have always been extensively studied and investigated due to their widespread use in various industries, such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and agricultural sectors. Proteases are a group of proteolytic enzymes that break down proteins and peptides into their constituent amino acids by hydrolyzing peptide bonds. Among the family of proteases, alkaline serine proteases have special biocatalytic abilities in both aqueous and organic environments. Their suitable resistance in alkaline environments and...
Formation and Evolution of Cellular Structures in Two Dimensional Weakly Unstable Detonation Waves
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Farshchi, Mohammad (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this investigation, cellular structure of a weakly unstable detonation wave in H2/O2/Ar mixture is studied. The detonation is simulated using 2D reactive Euler equations and one step Arrhenius type reaction model developed by Mr. Barkhordari. The numerical technique is the high order Piecewise Parabolic Method on the basis of Godonov method. The numerical fluxes are computed based on a high-order extension of the Godunov's method; the piecewise parabolic method (PPM). The initial cell formation processes and different machanisms involved in cell size changes are studied. This study shows that the form of initial perturbation used to intrigate the instability of detonation is not important...
Short-term Scheduling of Generation Units Considering Effective Uncertainties and Their Economic Effects
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Ehsan, Mehdi (Supervisor) ; Amjady, Nima (Co-Advisor) ; Zareipour, Hamid Reza (Co-Advisor)
Abstract
The objective of the short-term scheduling of generation units has been changed with the restructuring of power systems. Minimizing the total operation cost while satisfying system operation constraints is the main objective of short-term scheduling of generation units in an integrated or centralized power system. Unlike the vertically integrated power systems, the main objective of Generation Company (GenCO) is maximizing the total profit in the restructured system. Two new approaches, called time varying acceleration coefficients iteration particle swarm optimization (TVAC-IPSO) and Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) are proposed to solve power systems static and dynamic economic...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Mahdavi, Mohammad (Supervisor) ; Bahrampour, Ali Reza (Supervisor) ; Taghavinia, Nima (Co-Advisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, first, random lasing in a three dimensional disordered medium has been simulated using FDTD method and some properties of random lasers which were observed by others in the previous experiments have theoretically been shown. Our simulation results show that when the density of particles increases to an upper limit, the intensity of lasing modes is enhanced. Also, the effects of pumping rate and particle size on the number of lasing modes and their intensity are studied. Lasing threshold of laser modes in different disordered systems is calculated and it is shown that by an appropriate selection of the central frequency of gain line-shape, the output power intensity of random...
Optimal Control of Spacecraft on the Earth-Moon Lagrange Point Orbits considering Sun and other Planets and Elliptic Orbit Perturbations
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Assadian, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, optimal station keeping of spacecraft on the closed-orbits near the Earth-Moon Lagrange points has been investigated. Lagrange points L1 and L2 are unstable equilibrium points of the circular restricted three-body problem (CRTBP), and periodic orbits near them are the destination of modern missions. However, perturbations resulting from the gravitational forces of the Sun and the planets and the eccentricity of the orbit of the Moon around the Earth make the Lagrange point unstable, even L4 and L5, which are stable in CRTBP. The most suitable choice for spacecraft mission near the collinear Lagrange points is the Halo and other closed-orbits around them, which need...
Orbit Design and Optimization of Satellite Constellation for Regional Coverage
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Assadian, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, the satellite constellation orbit design for regional coverage is investigated. The orbits of satellites in a constellation for Earth observation missions play a crucial role in performance and characteristics of the mission; for example the image resolution, the area of coverage, and the coverage interval. In this thesis the problem is to find the optimal initial orbital elements for meeting the earth observation mission objectives for one or several sites. The cost functions are the total coverage time, the maximum gap time, time average gap, altitude, and number of satellites. The problem is solved in a multi-objective manner for different combination of two of the above...
Autonomous Orbit Estimation for Regional Navigation Satellites
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Asadian, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, autonomous orbit estimation of regional navigation satellites has been investigated. Estimation of satellite orbit is an integral part of satellite navigation, which may be executed via assistance of ground station. As the satellite is exposed to the ground station view, range, direction and rate of range is measured by mean of ranging instrumentation relative to ground reference, hence the precise position is calculated. In this thesis a set of satellites are investigated in a unique structure called constellation with the purpose of navigation. The occurrence which is likely to happen in this condition, is the failure of ground station under certain circumstances or losing...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Taghavinia, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
UF membranes are widely used in various industries now, a major type of these membranes are ceramic membranes which are resistant to high temperatures and corrosive fluids. In this thesis we developed an anisotropic UF ceramic membrane based on 20nm TiO2 nanoparticles on a prous sustrate. We had two major challenges, the first one was to find a suitable prous substrate and the second one was to find an appropriate coating method. Our main task was to optimise the process conditions to achive a crackless and uniform membrane layer with minimal ups and downs. Lots of coating methods and TiO2 inks have been tried, finally we used a coating method which we called it “Soft Blade Coating”, with...
Continuous-thrust Trajectory Optimization in the Binary Asteroids System
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Asadian, Nima (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this thesis, the optimal trajectories of a spacecraft in the binary asteroids system is studied. The objective functions of optimal trajectories in these system are the maximum coverage of the asteroids surface and minimum time and fuel consumption. For this purpose, the dynamic of binary system is modeled. The binary system of 1999 KW4 is selected as a case study. The ellipsoid-sphere model is a good approximation for the case of this study. In this model, the asteroids orbit in a circular orbit around each other in a spin-spin-orbit resonance configuration, in which the asteroids’ rotational velocity is equal to orbital mean motion. Then, the equations of motion of the spacecraft as the...
