Effect of Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation on Joining aa 5052-carbon Fiber Aluminium Alloy to Polyprolene in Silicate and Aluminium Electrolyte
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ghorbani, Mohammad (Supervisor)
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to increase the strength of metal and polymer compound combinations in the direction of this increase, the electrolytic plasma oxidation coating is applied and its effect will be checked to increase bond strength. Also, due to the failure in the polymeric side of the bonding, the effect of adding short fibers of carbon to polypropylene will be checked on the strength of the polymer and bond strength. The effect of current density at coating application, the presence or absence of short carbon fiber in the polymeric field and the formation of initial hole on aluminum alloy on bond strength was studied. For further analysis, the optical and electron microscopic...
Developing a Framework for Reliability Studies of Distribution Energy System Comprised of Multi Energy Hubs with Heat Storages
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Moeini Aghtaie, Moein (Supervisor)
Abstract
Using energy storage systems has been remarkably improved the energy systems efficiency and reliability indicators of the system and also reduced the operating costs of these systems. Thus using them in an energy system would count as an advantage. Lately, the procedure of implementation of these systems has been studied widely and various motives behind implementing them have been reviewed. For example, the effect of cost optimization in electrical vehicles on reliability indicators from the load management perspective can be addressed. Therefore this thesis has studied the effect of electrical and thermal storage systems on the reliability indicators of an energy hub and the effect of...
Does the short-term boost of renewable energies guarantee their stable long-term growth? Assessment of the dynamics of feed-in tariff policy

Abstract
Feed-in tariff (FiT) is one of the most efficient ways that many governments throughout the world use to stimulate investment in renewable energies (REs) technology. For governments, financial management of the policy could be challenging as it needs a considerable amount of budget to support RE producers during the long remuneration period. In this paper, it has been illuminated that the early growth of REs capacity could be a temporary boost. And the socio-economic structure of the system will backlash the policy if some social mechanisms are not considered. Social tolerance for paying REs tax and potential investors’ trust emanated from budget-related mechanisms -which have rarely been...
A Multio Bjective Work Flow Scheduling Algorithmin Cloud Computing Environment
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Qasemi Tari, Farhad (Supervisor) ; Hajji, Alireza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Multi core processors are becoming mainstream in the computation area, wide application of multi core processors in Engineering, Industrial purposes and scientific applications made them popular among users and Manufacturers, cloud computing is a very well known Concept which technically is a Multicore processing environment, most of Businesses, enterprises and engineering works nowadays are getting done by the help of cloud services, hence, to get the best of these multi core cloud computing systems, scheduling of the tasks on the cores and virtual machines(VMs) is necessary, which is the answer to two questions: each task must be assigned to which core(VM)? And What is the order of...
Introducing a Heuristic Approach to Solve Euclidean Traveling Salesman Problem and Evaluating the Accuracy
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Mahlouji, Hashem (Supervisor) ; Qasemi Tari, Farhad (Co-Supervisor)
Abstract
The traveling salesman problem consists of a salesman and a set of cities in which the salesman has to visit each one of the cities only once, starting from an arbitrary city and returning to the same city. The challenge of the problem is that to find a trip to minimize the total length of the tour. The Travelling Salesman problem is a well-known and important combinatorial optimization problem. Despite this simple problem statement, solving the TSP is difficult since it belongs to the class of NP-complete problems. Due to its computational complexity, recent researches suggest that meta-heuristic approaches can be the best solution approach for the general form of this problem. This thesis...
