Abstract
This book focuses on a central question in the field of complex systems: Given a fluctuating (in time or space), uni- or multi-variant sequentially measured set of experimental data (even noisy data), how should one analyse non-parametrically the data, assess underlying trends, uncover characteristics of the fluctuations (including diffusion and jump contributions), and construct a stochastic evolution equation?
Here, the term "non-parametrically" exemplifies that all the functions and parameters of the constructed stochastic evolution equation can be determined directly from the measured data.

Abstract
In tins paper, stabilizing the unstable periodic orbits (UPO) in a chaotic fractional order system called Van der Pol is studied. Firstly, a technique for finding unstable periodic orbit in chaotic fractional order systems is stated. Then by applying tins technique to the van der Pol system, unstable periodic orbit of system is found. After that, a method is presented for stabilization of the discovered UPO based on theories stability of the linear integer order and fractional order systems. Finally, a linear feedback controller was applied to the system and simulation is done for demonstration of controller performance

Abstract
This study presents a dynamic cube attack on the algorithm Grain-v1 which has resisted all the key-recovery attacks in the single key model. The dynamic cube attack finds the secret key by using distinguishers obtained from structural weaknesses of a cipher. The main idea of the attack lies in simplifying the cipher's output function. After making it simpler, the attack is able to exploit a distinguishing attack to recover the secret key. In this study, the authors first find the appropriate simplifications for Grain-v1. The control of a brachiation robot has been the primary objective of this study. A brachiating robot is a type of a mobile arm that is capable of moving from branch to branch similar to a long-armed ape. In this paper, to minimize the actuator work, Pontryagin's minimum principle was used to obtain the optimal trajectories for two different problems. The first problem considers “brachiation between fixed branches with different distance and height,” whereas the second problem deals with the “brachiating and catching of a moving target branch”. Abstract
The governing equations of optical fiber Raman amplifier with broadband pumps in the steady state are systems of uncountable nonlinear ordinary differential equations (NODE). In this paper, the Moment method is used to reduce the uncountable system of NODE to a system of finite number of NODE. This system of equations is solved numerically. The results are compared with that of the full numerical method. It was shown that the Moment method is a precise and efficient technique for analysis of optical fiber Raman amplifier with broadband pumps. © 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

Abstract
The highly viscous property of heavy oil often causes problems in its transportation in pipelines. Mixing heavy oil with light oil as well as ultrasound treatment are viable solutions to this problem. In this study, extra heavy crude oil samples were first diluted with 0, 0.05, 0.1, and 0.15 mL/mL (0, 5, 10, and 15 vol%) of a light crude oil; then the mixture was irradiated by ultrasonic waves for 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 min; finally the viscous shear functions of all mixtures was measured at different values of shear rate at different temperature levels. In the present article, α-Al2O3 nano powder was synthesized by a simple aqueous sol-gel method by using AlCl3 as precursor. It was shown that the gel calcined at 1000°C, 1100 °Cand 1200 °Cresulted in the formation of a crystalline ?-Al2O3 nano powder. In continue TEOS and saccharose was used to prepare SiO2 xerogels containing carbon nano particles. We study the metal-insulator transition of the one-dimensional diagonal Anderson ternary model with long range correlated disorder. The starting point of the model corresponds to a ternary alloy (i.e. with three possible on-site energies), and shows a metal-insulator transition when the random distribution of site energies is assumed to have a power spectrum S(k) ∝ 1/k (2α-1). In this paper, we define a purity parameter for the ternary alloy which adjusts the occupancy probability of site potentials, and for any given α we calculate the critical purity parameter for which extended states are obtained. In endurance time (ET) method structures are subjected to a set of predesigned intensifying excitations. These excitations are produced in a way that their response spectrum, while complying with a specified spectrum, intensifies with time so they can be used approximately to simulate the average effects of several ground motions scaled to different intensities.
