Abstract
Optimization of the placement and operational conditions of oil wells plays an important role in the development of the oilfields. Several automatic optimization algorithms have been used by different authors in recent years. However, different optimizers give different results depending on the nature of the problem. In the current study, a comparison between the genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithms was made to optimize the operational conditions of the injection and production wells and also to optimize the location of the injection wells in a southern Iranian oilfield. The current study was carried out with the principal purpose of evaluating and comparing the...
Does the short-term boost of renewable energies guarantee their stable long-term growth? Assessment of the dynamics of feed-in tariff policy

Abstract
Feed-in tariff (FiT) is one of the most efficient ways that many governments throughout the world use to stimulate investment in renewable energies (REs) technology. For governments, financial management of the policy could be challenging as it needs a considerable amount of budget to support RE producers during the long remuneration period. In this paper, it has been illuminated that the early growth of REs capacity could be a temporary boost. And the socio-economic structure of the system will backlash the policy if some social mechanisms are not considered. Social tolerance for paying REs tax and potential investors’ trust emanated from budget-related mechanisms -which have rarely been...
Investigating the Effect of Asphaltene Flocculation Size on Deposition

Abstract
Asphaltene precipitation and deposition are sources of a number of problems for petroleum industry. Thus, solving the problem of precipitation and deposition is very important. In order to measure deposition level, study of other asphaltene flocculation is vital; since there is a time interval between precipitation and deposition. Use of chemical inhibitors is one of the best methods for prevention of asphaltene precipitation that could postpone precipitation point and prevent formation of huge flocculations. In this study, effects of asphaltene flocculation size on deposition with or without using inhibitors were investigated. In this regard, QCM was used for measuring the amount of...

Abstract
Gas condensate production using technology of multi-stage hydraulically fracturing in shale gas condensate reservoirs' horizontal wells is a new topic of unconventional resources studies. Thus, shale gas condensate as a new source of energy can be considered as an important issue for development and further studies. In this work, a semi-analytical solution of gas and oil two-phase flow is presented for pressure transient analysis (PTA) and rate transient analysis (RTA) of a shale gas condensate reservoir's production data. Fluid flow assumption here is flow in a pseudo triple-porosity porous media, which are matrix, natural fractures and adsorbed gas. Adsorbed gas is a form of gas in porous...
