Abstract
Zeolite-based photocatalysts were prepared by the sol-gel and deposition methods. The photocatalysts were characterised by X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms, FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometry. The activity of the prepared photocatalysts was evaluated by the UV-induced degradation of acid blue 92, a textile dye in common use. This study demonstrates a new kind of photocatalytic system via utilization of the superior specific properties inherent in Pickering emulsion. We designed the new photocatalytic system using a novel p–n heterojunction Ag3PO4/BiPO4 (AB) as a photocatalytic active component, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and graphene (GR) as a hydrophobic conducting nanostructure to form the stabilized Pickering emulsion. ZnO and Mordenite zeolite (MOR) nanoparticles were prepared by precipitation process using ultrasonic irradiation and hydrothermal method, respectively. Supported ZnO catalysts were prepared and the effect of different supports on the photocatalytic activity of ZnO nanoparticles was investigated. Abstract
By combination of 1-ethyl-3-methyl immidazolium ethyl sulfate as a typical room temperature ionic liquid (IL) and graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets, a nanocomposite was introduced for improving the direct electrochemistry and electrocatalytic activity of glucose oxidase (GOx). The enzyme on the IL–GO-modified glassy carbon electrode exhibited a quasireversible cyclic voltammogram corresponding to the flavine adenine dinucleotide/FADH2 redox prosthetic group of GOx. Abstract
Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was successfully immobilized on amine functionalized TiO2-coated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (NH2 – TiO2 – CNTs) by a convenient and efficient method. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and amperometry were applied to characterize the HRP/NH2 – TiO2 – CNT nano-composite. These techniques showed that the NH2 – TiO2 – CNTs greatly enhance the electron transfer between HRP and the modified electrode. Various ionic liquids (ILs) and their mixtures were coated on the Pt/Al2O3 catalyst and the resulting IL-coated catalysts were used in the synchronous hydrogenation of cyclohexene and acetone. The rate constant (k) and selectivity (S) toward CO hydrogenation were determined for several catalysts in various solvents. Abstract
Control of unstable non-minimum-phase delayed stochastic processes is a challenging problem. In this work based on the Diophantine equation and using pole-placement technique, a discrete control scheme for such processes has been proposed. Robust stability of the suggested control structure has been shown. Advantages of the proposed scheme over the existing algorithms have been shown through computer simulations. It has been shown that performance of the proposed scheme for handling model mismatch and colored noise is superior to the previous work proposed in the literature

Abstract
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to describe optical flow-based navigation of a very light fixed-wing aircraft in flight between obstacles. Design/methodology/approach - The optical flow information of two cameras mounted on the aircraft is used to detect the obstacle. It is assumed that the image processing has been completed and the optical flow vectors have been obtained beforehand. The optical flow is used to detect the obstacles and make a rapid turn manoeuvre for the aircraft. This paper reports on the diversity of languages displayed in the linguistic landscape of Julfa district, a largely Armenian dominated area, in the city of Isfahan in Iran. The data included a corpus of 323 photographs taken from the top-down and bottom-up signage in this quarter of the city. Ethnographic fieldwork was also conducted to reach a deeper understanding of the linguistic landscape in Julfa. This survey investigated the cultural identity of Iranian English language teachers. Accordingly, a cultural identity model was proposed a priori, based on which a questionnaire was developed and piloted on 50 Iranian English language teachers (α = 0.87). The developed questionnaire was then administered to 636 male and female Iranian English language teachers. This thesis represents the obstacle avoidance of a fixed-wing small aircraft using optical flow information of cameras mounted on the aircraft. The thesis consists of two main sections. In section one, the ideal optical flow has been simulated based on the camera model, complete six DOF of flight equations, and the geometry of the environment.
