Abstract
A four-step synthetic strategy was applied to achieve novel methacrylic monomers. 5-Norbornene-2,2-dimethanol was prepared from a Diels–Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene and acrolein, followed by the treatment of the adduct with an HCHO/KOH/MeOH solution. The resulting 1,3-diol (1) was then acetalized with different aromatic aldehydes having OH groups on the ring to produce four spiroacetal derivatives. Image-Adaptive watermarking systems exploit visual models to adapt the watermark to local properties of the host image. This leads to a watermark power enhancement, hence an improved resilience against different attacks, while keeping the mark imperceptible. Visual models consider different properties of the human visual system, such as frequency sensitivity, luminance sensitivity and contrast masking. This study is devoted to the analysis and design of a recently proposed steel-FRP deck system. A methodology is being proposed to analysis the elastic behavior of the proposed deck. In this method the deck is modeled as an equivalent orthotropic plate which is constrained by rotational springs along its edges. Abstract
An algebraic closed-form solution for locating a moving target using a distributed multiple-input multiple-output radar system is proposed. The position and velocity of the target are estimated by presenting a two-stage weighted least squares algorithm. In contrast to existing research, the proposed estimator is shown analytically to be approximately unbiased and its variance is equal to the Cramer-Rao lower bound. Numerical simulations corroborate the theoretical studies and demonstrate the superiority of this algorithm over the existing methods. © 1997-2012 IEEE

In this paper, an adaptive channel estimation algorithm is proposed for the multi-user robust relay beamforming problem. We propose a norm-bounded channel uncertainty model for all of the channels. We employ the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) for joint estimation of channel coefficients and beamforming weights, and propose a Markov model for source-relay and relay-destination channels as well as the beamforming weights in the relays. Abstract
This letter presents a novel solution for the problem of moving target localization in multiple-input multiple-output radar systems. The localization problem is formulated, based on least squares criterion, as a non-convex optimization problem and solved by semidefinite relaxation method. Then, an improvement technique, refining the initial solution by estimating the error terms, is proposed. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a significant performance improvement over the state-of-the-art methods. Specifically, the proposed method is shown to be more robust to the noise level compared with the existing algorithms. © 1997-2012 IEEE
