Darrieus turbines are one of the most widely used turbines in extracting energy from tidal currents. This study aimed to investigate the effect of utilizing helical blades and variable solidity ratio on the efficiency of Darrieus tidal turbines. For this purpose, three types of helical turbines with different solidity ratios have been designed, and computer simulation has been used to investigate the effect of the mentioned parameters on the efficiency of the Darrieus turbines. Theanine is a non-protein amino acid which was first isolated from tea plant leaves (Camellia sinensis) and also found in a mushroom named Xerocomus badius and some other Camellia species such as C.japonica and C.sasanqua. Theanine comprises about 50% of amino acids in tea and 1-2% of dry weight of tea leaves. Abstract
This paper aims to propose a high-speed and accurate fully-automated method to detect COVID-19 from the patient's chest CT scan images. We introduce a new dataset that contains 48,260 CT scan images from 282 normal persons and 15,589 images from 95 patients with COVID-19 infections. At the first stage, this system runs our proposed image processing algorithm that analyzes the view of the lung to discard those CT images that inside the lung is not properly visible in them. Journal-bearings play a significant role in industrial applications and the necessity of condition monitoring with nondestructive tests is increasing. This paper deals a proper fault detection technique based on power spectral density (PSD) of vibration signals in combination with K-Nearest Neighbor and Support Vector Machine (SVM). Abstract
In this paper, after reviewing the basic structure for implementing WSN in smart grid, we would give a case study for implementation of such a structure in a smart home. It will be shown that using new generation cellular network structure, gives a basic improvement the infrastructure needed for gathering the information and taking a real time monitoring and control of a simplified model of a smart grid executed as a smart home. We will take the advantage of computer simulations to show the reliability of this method and finally, we will analyze the advantages of using this proposed structure in a smart grid. [1, 4]
