Abstract
A four-step synthetic strategy was applied to achieve novel methacrylic monomers. 5-Norbornene-2,2-dimethanol was prepared from a Diels–Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene and acrolein, followed by the treatment of the adduct with an HCHO/KOH/MeOH solution. The resulting 1,3-diol (1) was then acetalized with different aromatic aldehydes having OH groups on the ring to produce four spiroacetal derivatives. In this thesis, various fractional order controllers (FOCs), e.g., FO-PID, FO-TID, CRONE and FO-Lead/Lag, are implemented using PLC. For this purpose first, several methods are used to approximate the differentiator and integral operators. Based on these methods, the equivalent rational transfer functions of the fractional order controllers are obtained. Then, using STEP7 software, the FOCs are implemented in Siemens PLC. In this research, non-isothermal annealing process at temperatures ranging between 400°C to 830 °C was investigated in warm and cold-rolled austenitic stainless steel 304L. First, the wide variety of austenitic to martensitic structure was produced by the multi-pass rolling process at room temperature -8 °C, 200 °C, and 280°C.
