Investigation and Accomplishment of CO2 Capturing with Solid Sorbent

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Shirdel, Elham (Author) ; Safekordi, Ali Akbar (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Carbon dioxide emissions account for 80% of current greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming; this majority stake held by carbon dioxide indicates that reduction in its release to the atmosphere and capturing emissions accomplished is imperative in conservation of human life in earth. The aim of this project is CO2 capturing from ambient air to decrease air pollution with uses building surface that is wide available surface, as basis of adsorbent. In this research, we select CaO as absorbent that it is proven good absorbent in high temperature for CO2. We studied this absorbent in low temperature and pressure. We experimented different weight amount of sorbent 2,3,4,5,6.5...

Providing Methods for Reducing and Estimating the Power Consumption of Wireless Networks on Chip

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Shirdel, Mojeeb (Author) ; Tabandeh, Mahmoud (Supervisor) ; Rahemi, Bijan (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In recent years, the possibility of building large systems on chip, called SoC is provided. By scaling the technology, designing Socs will face numerous challenges. The Noc paradigm, has resolved many of the SoC’s problems, by deploying network properties in the structures of on chip interconnections. Today, with advances in the semiconductor industry, we can implement broadband wireless antennas, which are integrated on chip. Such NoCs are called WNoC. Due to immaturity of WNoCs, there still exist big challenges, providing routing algorithm and controlling shared medium via MAV layers, for them. In this project, we will provide a routing algorithm based on tag switching, and then, after...

Simulation of a Knee Joint Replacement During a Gait Cycle Using Finite Element Analysis and Verifying the Results by Experimental Knee Simulator

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Shirdel, Hadi (Author) ; Firoozbakhsh, Keikhosrow (Supervisor) ; Farahmand, Farzam (Supervisor) ; Narimani, Roya (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In knee injuries that may not have the ability to improve and knee function is disturbed, usually total knee replacement surgery is performed. There are several ways in order to study the effect of different parameters and how the parameters affect the total knee disability, including removal from the patient body, laboratory studies and computer simulations. Study of damaged prosthesis from viewpoint of availability and laboratory ones from cost and duration of time encounter with problems, so the computer simulation have priority. In this project, a dynamic model of a total knee prosthesis during gait cycle has been developed with the help of finite element software. In this project,...
