    Abstract
    Today, the internal connections of the CPUs with a few billion wired transistors in 14 copper layers on the silicon wafer are possible. Recently, power dissipation has slowed the growth rate of clock growth in CPUs, and nowadays sometimes more than 60% power is lost in connections. In this situation, the increase in efficiency has been achieved in accordance with Moore's law with multi-core chips. This theme has made the connections between the cores much more important than before. Usually the information in the network structure on chip (NOC) is transmitted on these connections. Therefore, all three aspects of delay, power dissipation and bit rate are important for communication channels.... 

    A new equation of state derived by the statistical mechanical perturbation theory

    Abstract
    We have derived an analytical equation of state (EOS) based on the soft-core statistical mechanical perturbation theory for fluids, using the Weeks-Chandler-Andersen (WCA) theory recently developed by Ben-Amotz-Stell (BAS) for the choice of the hard-sphere diameter, but with a new algorithm for calculation of the pair and many-body interactions. We have used Carnahan-Starling expression with the Boltzmann factor criterion (BFC) as an effective hard-sphere diameter for the reference system, and also decomposed the perturbed pair potential to symmetric and asymmetric terms. The former term is due to the many-body interactions at high densities as was used in the linear isotherm regularity...

    Abstract
    Web crawlers are one of the most crucial components in search engines and their optimization would have a great effect on improving the searching efficiency. In this paper, we introduce an intelligent crawler called Gcrawler that uses a genetic algorithm for improving its crawling performance. Gcrawler estimates the best path for crawling on one hand and expands its initial keywords by using a genetic algorithm during the crawling on the other hand. This is the first crawler that acts intelligently without any relevance feedback or training. All the processes are online and there is no need for direct interaction with the users. © 2005 IEEE

    In this paper, we have derived two equations of state, one for the metallic and ionic solids and the other for the remaining solids on the basis of the concept of the average effective pair potential (AEPP). According to the former EOS, (Z-1)υ2 is linear with respect to 1/ρ, where Z is the compressibility factor and υ = 1/ρ is the molar volume for each isotherm. On the basis of the latter EOS, (Z-1)υ2 is a linear function in terms of ρ2 for each isotherm. As these EOSs suggest, the temperature dependencies of the internal energy is separable from its density dependencies.     This thesis proposes a dynamic model for studding influences of suspension components behavior on rail vehicle dynamics. As the air springs are very important isolating component in rail vehicles, a new complete nonlinear air spring model, with taking into consideration of thermo–dynamical effects, is developed. The model coefficients are tuned based on the real test data and it can be easily used in dynamic modeling of air springs.     The solubility of carbon dioxide in a series of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methylimidazolium ([hemim]+) based ionic liquids (ILs) with different anions, viz. hexafluorophosphate ([PF6]-), trifluoromethanesulfonate ([OTf]-), and bis-(trifluoromethyl)sulfonylimide ([Tf2N]-) at temperatures ranging from 303.15 K to 353.15 K and pressures up to 1.3 MPa were determined. The solubility data were correlated using the Krichevsky-Kasarnovsky equation and Henry's law constants were obtained at different temperatures.     Government intervention in markets may go beyond the market regulation. Interventions may cause some idiosyncratic price distortions. It means the relative prices of factors to become different among firms. Therefore, micro conditions for firms will be changed. These will result in misallocation of factor production between firms and change in manufacturing TFP. According to data from about 14000 medium and small industrial firms in Iran, removing misallocation of production factors (capital and energy) and output idiosyncratic distortions between industrial firms would result in 115 percent increase in manufacturing TFP.

    Due date assignment for customer orders has been studied in various production environments. In this thesis a production system is considered in which the orders of several customers are produced in a single lot because of the economy of scale. If a lot is completed before receiving customer orders, inventory carrying cost is incurred. On shortages, a due date is quoted to customers and lead time quotation cost is incurred. The aim of this research is to develop an appropriate kinetic mechanism for dehydrogenation of propane over an industrial Pt–Sn/γ-Al2O3 catalyst in the presence of a very small amount of water. The reaction is carried out over the temperature range of 575 – 620 º C at atmospheric pressure.
