Using Transductive Learning Classification in Bioinformatics

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Tajari, Hossein (Author) ; Beigy, Hamid (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Classification is one of the most important problems in machine learning area. Reliable and successful classification is essential for diagnosing patients for further treatment. In many applications such as bioinformatics unlabeled data is abundant and available. However labeling data is much more difficult and expensive to obtain. This dissertation presents a novel transductive approach for the development of robust microarray data classification. The transduction problem is to estimate the value of classification function at the given points in the working set. This contrasts with the standard inductive learning problem of estimating the classification method at all possible values and...

    ?How Perceptions Coud be Theory-laden

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Tajari, Nariman (Author) ; Azadegan, Ebrahim (Supervisor)
    Abstract
One of the important problems in the history of philosophy of Mind &Science is to respond this question: whether our observations which are the basics of our experiences are theory laden or not? theory-ladenness of observation thesis has been endorsed by Duhem and hansen and thomas kuhn, generally theory-ladensess of observation devide in two concepts, firstly it means the affection of on the observable terms secondly it relates to the affection of theories on our perception and phenomenology of experience. fodor claims that theories has nothing to do with our observation and churchland claims vice versa, both of these philosophers mention their own reasons and in this thesis we are looking...

    Deep Networks for Graph Classification

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Akbar Tajari, Mohammad (Author) ; Soleymani Baghshah, Mahdieh (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Graphs are widely used for representing structured data and analysis of them is an important area that appears in a broad domain of applications. Graph processing is of great importance in analyzing and predicting social media users' behavior, examining financial markets, detecting malware programs, and designing recombinant drugs. For example, consider a graph in which nodes and edges show the financial institutions and the financial connection between these institutions, respectively. Financial connection refers to the investment of one institute by another. Based on the graph structure, predicting trade stability and balance is extremely significant in macro decisions. In the last few...

Evaluation and Analysis of tDCS and tACS in Improvement of Tinnitus Condition

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Tajari, Ahmad Reza (Author) ; Jahed, Mehran (Supervisor) ; Hani Tabatabaie, Mozhgan (Co-Supervisor) ; Asadpour, Abdureza (Co-Supervisor)
    Abstract
Tinnitus is variety of sounds heard when no corresponding external sound is present. To remedy this condition, various methods have been proposed, however none have resulted in systematic and lasting results. This study aims to investigate the efficacy of non-invasive electrical stimulation techniques (tES) in the treatment of tinnitus. Stimulation parameters, including intensity, frequency, duration, and session frequency, are tailored to the individual's subjective tinnitus characteristics and treatment goals. Specifically, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is explored as a non-invasive method of electrical stimulation. In the tDCS method, electrodes are strategically...
