    Abstract
Minority language studies have received increasing attention over the last decade in Iran. Drawing on Spolsky's (Spolsky, Bernard. 2004. Language policy. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press) language policy theoretical framework, this inquiry reports on the language ideologies, practices, and management efforts of an under-explored group of Kurdish families residing in the city of Kermanshah. Abstract
The proliferation of predatory or bogus journals has been recognized as a threat to academic research, and this study was conducted to discover the experiences of authors published in these journals. Eighty authors who had published in journals identified as predatory were surveyed. We asked how the authors learnt about these journals, what they thought about the reputation of the journals, their experiences of peer review and the quality of feedback provided, and whether publication was driven by PhD or job requirements. Our results showed that a third of authors discovered the journals by web searches or responding to email invitations. Over half said the reputation and name of the journal...

Mastering textual and linguistic conventions of academic prose assists English native and non-native authors in writing scientific RAs. Lexical bundles (LBs) refer to word combinations that co-occur frequently in a particular register (Biber, Johansson, Leech, Conrad & Finegan, 1999). In fact, they are an integral component of “fluent linguistic production” (Hyland, 2018, p. 4). For more than a century, LBs have attracted researchers' attention in corpus-driven studies, although the extent to which LBs vary between English native and non-native authors remains...
