Abstract
Szemeredi's theorem is one of the significant theorems in additive combinatorics which was started by Van Der Waerden's theorem in 1927. Erdos and Turan conjectured generalized versions of Van Der Waerden's theorem in several ways included Szemeredi's theorem. In 1975 Szemeredi proved the conjecture using complicated combinatorial methods. In 1977 H. Furstenberg proved Szemeredi's theorem via the Ergodic theory approach which led to prove polynomial Szemeredi's theorem and multi-dimensional Szemeredi's theorem. Abstract
In this research MPA capped CdTe nanocrystals with sizes around 2.7-3.5 nm were grown in aqueous solution. The process was performed through the reaction of NaHTe with MPA and CdCl2 solution in high temperature. The synthesis was carried out in two different states of standard and modified forms. In the modified synthesis, the hydrazine hydrate material was added to the MPA plus CdCl2 solution before injection. The evolution of the nanocrystals size and PL quantum yield was monitored during the heating time for the growth. The results demonstrated that for the standard synthesis the growth rate was slow. During recent years, many investigations have been carried out to determine how to select different materials for the making of Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and bio-MEMS. The NiTi shape memory alloy thin film has been much regarded as a promising candidate for MEMS due. to its unique shape memory effect and high energy output. Gravity drainage is the main production mechanism in the gas invaded zone in naturally fractured reservoirs. However, there are large ambiguities and complexities, resulting from the dynamic of oil depletion from matrix blocks toward the fracture network. Visualization of drained oil at pore scale using glass micromodels provides the opportunity to better understand the effects of different parameters which might affect oil recovery from fractured reservoirs. Individual drops are suitable tools to study the liquid-fluid interfacial properties. In this work, force-displacement equation and non-linear oscillations of a pendent drop are numerically investigated. The presented novel force-displacement function allows following the dynamics of a pendent drop and realizing its elastic behavior. We examine the economic implications of the SEC disclosure rules for companies doing business with Iran on their riskiness of debt. We exploit Section 219 of the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act (ITRA), which requires companies listed on U.S exchanges to disclose their activities and transactions with Iranian institutions. We analyze the impact of the first ITRA disclosure on the cost of capital for both American and foreign companies listed on the US exchanges. This paper will first describe predictor controllers when the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers are inactive for procedures that have large delay time (LDT) in transfer stage. This thesis is presented to introduce a semi-active control of the suspension systems. The currently available semi-active damper technologies can be divided into two main groups. The first uses controllable electromagnetic valves and the second uses Magnetorheological (MR) fluid to control the damping characteristics of the system. In the present study, two-phase refrigerant flow is simulated using drift flux model for straight and helical capillary tubes. The conservation equations of mass, energy and momentum are solved using the 4th order Runge-Kutta method. This model is validated by previously published experimental and numerical results and also by experimental results presented in this work. Abstract
The single stranded DNA can be adsorbed on the negatively charged surface of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), but the rigid structure of double stranded DNA prevents it from adsorption. Signal of a tagged single stranded DNA will be quenched by the plasmon effect of the AuNP surface after its adsorption. This phenomenon has been used to study the DNA hybridization and interactions of two complementary 21mer oligonucleotides each tagged with a different fluorescent dye in the presence of 13 nm gold nanoparticles. The vibration suppression of semi-actively controlled jacket-type offshore platforms using Magnetorheological (MR) dampers is studied. The main goal of using MR damper system is to reduce vibration caused by wave hydrodynamic forces. A semi-active controller-based neural network for a suspension system with magnetorheological (MR) dampers is presented and evaluated. An inverse neural network model (NIMR) is constructed to replicate the inverse dynamics of the MR damper. The typical control strategies are linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and linear quadratic gaussian (LQG) controllers with a clipped optimal control algorithm, while inherent time-delay and non-linear properties of MR damper lie in these strategies. As one of the key technologies for high performance electronic devices, composite solders have been recently developed to improve thermal and mechanical properties of solder joints. In this research, melt spinning was employed to fabricate a lead-free based nanocomposite solder for electronic application materials via introducing Ni-coated Al2O3 nanoparticles (0.1 wt%) into a Sn-Ag-Cu ternary eutectic alloy during rapid solidification.
