Simulation of Loop Connection of RCPs during Commissioning Test of BNPP Using RELAP 5 Code to Two or Three Operating Ones
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Ghofrani, Mohammad Bagher (Supervisor)
Abstract
In order to ensure the safety of the plants, a set of commissioning tests based on international standards for nuclear power plants is carried out before operation. In this research, one of the Bushehr power plant commissioning tests, the loop connection primary circuit cooling pump test, was simulated using the RELAP5 code. In this test, the effects of loop connection primary circuit pumps on the thermohydraulic parameters and the eneterance of test-related systems was evaluated. After simulating the systems related to the test and extracting the results of the stable state, were evaluated the transient results was obtained with the experimental results of the test of loop connection the...
Interaction of Parallel Tunnels; Case Study: Interaction of Towhid Tunnel and Tehran Metro line 7 Tunnel
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Sadaghiani, Mohammad Hossein (Supervisor)
Abstract
Influence of excavating the Tehran metro line 7 tunnel on surface settlement, stresses and deformations induced in Towhid tunnel is investigated using numerical modeling. Construction of Metro tunnel as the new one must be carried out without imposing any damage to the Towhid tunnel as the existing tunnel. Towhid tunnel is a set of twin tunnels along the Chamran highway in Tehran. The tunnels were constructed using sequential excavation method and lined with cast in place reinforced concrete; on the other side metro line 7 is being constructed using 2 EPB tunnel boring machines and lined with reinforced concrete segments. This research consists of the study of the effects of pillar width,...
PIDEC Batteries Simulation Accompany with Comparative Study of Key Parameters on its Efficiency
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Moshkbar Bakhshayesh, Khalil (Supervisor) ; Mohtashami, Soroush (Co-Supervisor)
Abstract
Nuclear batteries have been attractive since the beginning of the twentieth century due to their longer life in comparison with other types of batteries. These batteries are produced in different types with different efficiencies depending on the method used to convert their energy. In this study, due to the lack of the resources in the country to study the types of nuclear batteries, first we did an overview of the classification and operation of different types of nuclear batteries, especially on the latest type of nuclear batteries, PIDEC, that has not been studied in the country so far. The most important feature of a PIDEC is that it has an intermediate stage to transmit the maximum...
