Seismic Risk Analysis of the City of Golpayegan Using Reliability Methods
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Mahsuli, Mojtaba (Supervisor)
Abstract
This thesis presents the seismic hazard and seismic risk analysis of the City of Golpayegan using reliability methods and multiple interacting probabilistic models. These models evaluate the seismic hazard intensity by simulating the hazard event and evaluate the seismic risk by simulating the building portfolio and infrastructure systems under the hazard event and quantifying the ensuing consequences. In this context, hazard is the exceedance probability of a ground shaking intensity measure, and risk is the exceedance probability of social and economic losses. This is the first time in the literature that reliability methods are applied in evaluating the seismic risk of a real-world city...
A Mathematical Model for Production Planning in a FMCG Company Considering Reverse Logistics Costs
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Houshmand, Mahmoud (Supervisor) ; Haji, Alireza (Supervisor)
Abstract
One of the most important successes of factories is to pay attention to the production program. Production of lip program products in the dairy industry is possible in some ways, but only if production conditions and other factors are successful in planning to help progress. The dairy industry, as a fast-moving consumer goods with lower profit margins and less durability than other products, and the possibility of return and reverse logistics, needs a well-codified, practical and correct planning to be done with the least performance of the logistics process. In this way, the individual flexibility of the production process is also considered, so that production with cost and labor and...

Abstract
Thermoelastic damping (TED) has been discerned as a definite source of intrinsic energy loss in miniaturized mechanical elements. The size-dependent structural and thermal behavior of these small-sized structures has been proven through experimental observations. As a first attempt, this article exploits nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT) and nonlocal dual-phase-lag (NDPL) heat conduction model simultaneously to acquire a mathematical formulation and analytical solution for TED in nanobeams that can accommodate size effect into both structural and heat transfer fields. For this purpose, the coupled equations of motion and heat conduction are firstly extracted via NSGT and NDPL model....

Abstract
Single cell gel electrophoresis was used to observe the effect of bifenthrin and chlorpyrifos on Labeo rohita. The present work was planned to study the genotoxic effect of pesticide mixture on the major indian carp, L. rohita at sub-lethal concentration 33% LC50. First of all, 96-hr LC50 was determined for L. rohita, then fish was given sub-lethal environment for 70 days. Erythrocytes from blood were taken after each fortnight for the assessment of time dependent DNA damage (% damage), aggregate tail length of comets and genomic destruction. There was increase in damage up to 56 days and after that a slight decrease was observed in next fourteen days. After statistical analysis, it was...
