Deployment of Component-Based Applications in Distributed Environments
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Habibi, Jafar (Supervisor)
Abstract
With significant advances in software development technologies in recent years, it is possible to have complex software applications, wich include large number of heterogeneous software components distributed over a large network of computers with different computational capabilities. To run such applications, their components must be instantiated on proper hardware resources in their target environments so that all requirements and constraints are met and some quality of service parametesrs (e.g.,reliability, load balancing, etc) are also optimized. This process is called software deployment. For large, distributed ,component-based applications¬ with many constraints and requirements, it ...
Control Algorithm of Multi-agent Systems in Special Paths With an Applied Consideration in Biomechanical Engineering to Perform Operations of Interior Treatments
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Sayyadi, Hassan (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this project Deployment of multi-agent systems was studied. Maximum coverage over a point or curve or area is desired in deployment of multi-agent systems. A facility location optimization function was derived from geometrical concepts such as voronoi, n- geometric median and fermat-weber problem by optimization of which the deployment of multi-agent systems is performed. First, it is assumed that dynamic of agents is first order and second order .Next, it is assumed that agents are in a fluid. In all situations a suitable control algorithm was derived to optimize the facility location function to perform deployment. Next, another facility location function was derived by optimization...
Optimal Deployment of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Zakaei Ashtiani, Hedayat (Supervisor)
Abstract
Limited oil resources, increasing rate of oil consumption, and environmental concerns related to burning fossil fuels promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles. Electric vehicles are common among alternative fuel vehicles which decrease greenhouse gases emission and fossil fuel dependence. To increase electric vehicle market share, some challenges need to be overcome including range anxiety. Limited driving range is one of the main challenges for battery-powered electric vehicles. The distance limit inevitably changes electric vehicle drivers’ travel behavior. Given the scarcity of charging stations, consumers perceive this driving range limit to be a potential worry. Therefore,...
