A Mathematical Model to Optimize the Logistic Activities in Response Phase of Earthquakes
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Eshghi, Kourosh (Supervisor)
Abstract
reparedness and emergency procedure be devised in the event of,and prior to,a disaster. One of these disastersoften accompanying byhuge damages, losses and casualtiesisanearthquake. After such a disaster, several governmental and non-governmental organizations usually start relief operations. They commonly pursue their own agendas and use their own facilities and capabilities to help the people affected without pursuing a central plan. These disintegrated behaviors of involved organizations generate contradictory responses and result in either wasted resources or preventing equitable service for all affected people. Due tothe abovefact, this dissertation proposes amodel for improving...
A Framework for Lifetime Management and Optimization of Hybrid Renewable Energy System Based on Integrated Methodology of Design and Energy Management System (Operation). Case study: Integrated Photovoltaic/wind Turbine System
, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology ; Roshandel, Ramin (Supervisor)
Abstract
In this project, a comprehensive methodology is developed to present the lifetime management and optimization framework for hybrid renewable energy systems. The main purpose of this work is to minimize the lifetime cost and improve the system reliability based on the interaction between different optimization levels related to different steps in the system lifetime. The proposed methodology is generally presented by providing a connection between the three specified optimization levels: 1) Planning: including design and long-term optimization models which is performed before system operation, 2) Real-time operation: By employing the receding horizon optimization which is applied from the...
A Heuristic Method for Solving VRP Problem with Customer Loyalty
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Fazli, Mohammad Amin (Supervisor)
Abstract
This paper is concerned with the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) in a fleet with customer loyalty. In this work, we consider priority for customers according to their loyalty and try to declare an objective function which concerns customers' satisfaction along other normal VRP objectives like route optimization
