Investigation the Effect of Process Parameters on the Synthesis of Nanometric Yttrium Aluminum Garnet Powder via Sol-Gel Combustion Method
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Maddah Hosseini, Hamid Reza (Supervisor) ; Nemati, Ziarat Ali (Supervisor)
Abstract
Yttrium Aluminum Garnet powders possessing controlled size distribution has found applications in production of transparent ceramics, phosphors, laser host materials and composites. Sol-Gel Combustion process is one of the versatile methods to produce nanometeric garnet powders. This procedure is based on combustion of a concentrated gel of metal salts and fuel in an exothermic reaction which leads to nanoparticles formation. pH value of solution and employed fuel system strongly affect production quality and single phase nanopowder can be synthesized by well monitoring these parameters. In this study nanocrystalline Yttrium Aluminum Garnet powders was Synthesized via sol-gel combustion...
Feasibility And Study(CNG Cylinder Production Plant)
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Haji, Alireza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Nowadays best using of fossil fuels sources of the country (and) importance of comparison against lack of capacity in petrol production make determined the programmers and the directors to foresee and design expanded programs of the goals, to use natural gas for car fuels. To reach fulfillment of these programs, the confirmed needs of the natural gas cylinders are improved and make it essential to invest on producing compressive natural gas cylinders. In this way economical and technical change researches has been done in order to construct on department to produce 200,000 compressive natural gas cylinders in a year during two sets.(shifts) According to the results of technical researches...
Modeling of a Hybrid Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Microturbine System with Steam Injection
, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology ; Morad, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor)
Abstract
Hybrid Solid Oxide Fuel Cell-Micro Gas Turbine systems(SOFC-MGT) present opportunities for improvement over conventional systems, including high efficiency, cogeneration, and the potential for low carbon emmisions. In order to advance toward commercialization, Hybrid systems need to model under design point and off-design situations that maintain safe and efficient operations, also exhibiting favorable exergetic and economic performance. The present work investigates the hybrid SOFC-MGT performance and effects of steam injection, humidity effect, and fuel change in the system. The 1-D model of SOFC stack has been developed in EES Code and then coupled with a microturbine’s components with...
