A Study of Induced Systems Behavioral

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Farhangi, Hadi (Author) ; Malaek, Mohammad Bagher (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Towards basic-applied Research in the System Sciences fields, this Research has been to try to understand the behavior patterns and Functional Architecture of parasitic organisms and Use these in Social-Economic Systems. In this research four scenarios for parasite behavior were found and based on one of them, the recent "Financial Crisis in Greece" has been evaluated. The results show that the developed model, can be effective in similar conditions.

What is the Relation of Energy to Matter-Are They Equivalent or Their Relation is That of Essence and Properties

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hajmirbaba, Mohamad (Author) ; Golshani, Mehdi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The problem of energy is one of the most important and challenging subjects in both science and engineering. However The problem is deeper and more vital in science. In order to prob the concept of energy, it seems nessesary to know the correct meaning of that. In addition to considering and investigating different definitions of energy and exploring its relation with other quantities – specially mass, the thesis plans to search and survey about its meaning. After vast study and complete analyze around this subject, we finish the text presenting a particular conclusion concerning concept of energy and its relation with matter that shows a some what clear image of it. The subject of energy,...

Simulation and Optimal Control of Electric Arc Furnace

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Fathi, Amir Hossein (Author) ; Saboohi, Yadollah (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The study presents a comprehensive electric arc furnace model for simulation and control application to predict chemical processes, heat and mass transfer. The model consists of arc module, chemical – slag module and heat transfer sector to observe fundamental phenomena affecting on energy consumption. Two modules act independently of each other and the two module calculations apply in the heat transfer sector. Arc module predicts the amount of energy dissipated from the arcs using arc currents and arc lengths; chemical and slag module calculates chemical energy, changes of elements/compounds, slag height and slag quality; while the heat-transfer sector uses calculations of the other two...
