In this study, the separation of melittin from honey bee venom using free-flow electrophoresis was investigated theoretically and experimentally. First, melittin, hyaluronidase, and phospholipase A2 were investigated using molecular dynamics and their properties were calculated. The results of molecular dynamics simulation were used for computational fluid dynamics simulation. The results of macroscopic simulation were used to optimize the chip dimensions and operating conditions. The optimal length, width, and depth of the chip were obtained as 50 mm, 20 mm, and 150 μm, respectively.
