    Abstract
Written by Husserl, “Cartesian meditations”, a short book with subtitle of an introduction to phenomenology offers easy and accessible presentation to phenomenology for every beginner. But, despite of this, the book involves technical concepts of phenomenology which he has developed up to that time and unfortunately he did not bother to explain in this book. On the other hand, understanding of the book is made much harder by being a short book. Husserl’s philosophy is complicated and covers wide variety which its component interrelated mutually. Consequently, although in this work he just elaborate just limited issues, reading of the book for a novice reader with his philosophy is more...

Investigating on Characteristics of Luxury; Clustering of Iranian Society According to Perceived Characteristics of Luxury Goods Through Theoretical Dimensions and Empirical Study

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Makarem, Mohammad (Author) ; Karami, Nasser (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Due to the fast speed of changes in sciences and living conditions, concepts undergo a transformation as time goes by. Accordingly, the academic updating of such concepts in a way that is in line with the immediate perceptions of society seems necessary. The concept of luxury goods has changed a lot since old times. To understand how society perceives luxury goods, the current study aimed to make a thorough review of the past studies and investigate the characteristics of luxury goods. Then, the extracted characterizes were investigated on 355 participants by distributing questionnaires randomly. While selecting the characteristics, more emphasis was put on their innateness and the...

Scene Interaction Aware Perception for Autonomous Driving Tasks

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Farokhnejad Afshar, Mehrnaz (Author) ; Ghafourian Ghahramani, Amir Ali (Supervisor) ; Shirmohammadi, Zahra (Co-Supervisor)
    Abstract
Safely navigating complex urban environments presents a critical challenge in autonomous driving perception tasks. This challenge necessitates the ability to consider interaction with traffic scene agents while accurately predicting the behavior of vulnerable road users (VRUs) like pedestrians. This thesis aims to enhance AV perception by focusing on scene interaction awareness from two key perspectives: vehicle-vehicle and vehicle-pedestrian interactions. For vehicle-vehicle interactions, monocular depth estimation, a low-cost, data-driven approach, is employed to approximate inter-vehicle distance from an RGB image. First, vehicles and their lights are detected using the YOLOv7 algorithm...
