  7. Abstract:
  8. Cosmology is a knowledge that deals with the matter of creation of the world, its current structure and its end. This scientific field that was a subject discussed by the scientific, philosophical and religious groups has nowadays taken the attention of many scientists and researchers. The philosophers of science, also, are not exemptions from theses groups and cosmology, as a topic common between philosophy and science, is one of the points that are under discussion in the field of philosophy of science. On the other hand, the religions, also, have noticed this issue. Koran that is the most complete divine book sent from God, has taken account of the creation and the Creator as the axis of the world and has some verses about the manner of creation of the world. This research tries to look at the matters concerning the cosmology from the point view of Koran, philosophy and science.
When discussing the beginning of the world, many questions come to the mind, such as, has the world been created from nonexistence? When did its creation occur? What is the origin of time? How was the universe formed in the current form and how its structure will be from now on? I will try in this thesis to examine the mentioned issues from the point of view of thinkers and scholars and therefore, it has been drawn up in four sections: Section 1 deals with the subjects such as the knowledge of cosmology, its domains, presuppositions and some other subjects. In section 2, cosmology is regarded from Koran point of view, and different ideas have been examined taking into account the verses of Koran and valid interpretations in this regard. Creation from nonexistence, substantial material of creation, the initial form of the universe, the stages of universe formation, … are among subjects considered in this section. In section 3, the physical cosmology is considered and the models approved by the physicians are mentioned and some theories on the future of the universe are examined. Section 4 considers some philosophical issues in the field of cosmology, of which one can refer to notions such as creation from nonexistence, continuous creation and some ideas of western philosophers on the domain of the universe
