  7. Abstract:
  8. Arc welding is one of the key processes in the industry. Its vocational status in manufacturing industry comes to third place. From applicable standpoint gas metal arc welding (GMAW) has especial place between various electrode arcs. Base on the mode of transferring welding drop from electrode into welding pool the GMAW process could be categorized. The physics of metal transfer is not yet well understood, due to the facts that the arcs area is too small, the temperatures is too high and the metal transferring is at too high rate. However, physical behavior of process of each model is different from another. So equations that express each of them, need to reform toward others. The conditions of drop detachment in each transfer model are different with other ones, and they should be determined based on process behavior of the models. For example, in the short circuit transfer, the drop transfers to pool after reaching to work pieces and occurring the short circuit transfer. Another factor which is effective in time predicting of drop detachment is surface tension force which is affected by drop shape and its shape changing should be considered in electrode force calculating. It should calculate with more accurate. Some modifications are proposed in order to resolve these failures. Finally, the proposed modifications are simulated and the results are compared with practical experiments. Consequently, the obtained results indicate better agreement with real process behavior using these modifications
